Postpartum depression

it’s awful as soon as i’m on my own i just cry all the time and i’ve stopped trying to explain it to people because i feel like they’re sick of it and don’t understand

I'm the same. I've been in therapy for the past 3 months but still struggling a fair amount.

Yep, I feel so low, got the doctors at the end of the month to talk about, my husband is trying everything to make it ok but I just want time to myself but feel guilty asking for, I am exhausted to point I want to cry, I had mental health problems before so I am trying what I did back then now. I am free for a chat x

It’s terrible. In the first like 3 months of my son’s life, I dealt with severe postpartum depression, postpartum psychosis and postpartum anxiety. I was already medicated before getting pregnant, had to stop taking most of my meds during pregnancy, and then had to quit breastfeeding and go back on all my meds because I was an under-supplier and mentally it was taxing.

It wasn’t until I switched my antidepressant a few months ago (almost 2 years after I had my son) that I’m starting to feel like myself again.

I’m also in therapy so imo being medicated (with the right combination) and therapy have worked wonders. Good luck mama! You’ve got this 🤍
