28, AMH 3.8 – embryo banking & choosing a clinic

Hi, I'm 28 and have recently found out my AMH is 3.8 pmol/L. My partner's semen analysis is good and I've conceived naturally before, although unfortunately it ended in an early miscarriage.
We've now been advised to consider IVF rather than continuing to try naturally for another 6 months because of my low ovarian reserve.
I've been offered either multi-cycle IVF, where embryos have to be transferred before another egg collection, or embryo freezing/banking, where I could potentially do a few collections and freeze embryos before starting transfers.
I'm leaning towards banking because we'd like more than one child and I like the idea of creating embryos from my eggs now while I'm 28, rather than potentially needing another collection several years from now.
I'm also finding choosing a clinic really overwhelming. I keep worrying that choosing the “wrong” one could affect our chances, especially with my low AMH. I'm comparing success rates, reviews, experience with low ovarian reserve, cost and travelling distance and just going round in circles!
Has anyone around my age with similarly low AMH been through this? Did you bank embryos first, and how did you decide which clinic to trust?
Would really appreciate hearing your experiences ❤️

Hi Chloe, when I was 29 I found out I had a very low AMH (2.7 pmol/L) I choose to do some embryo banking and went with CRGH city but I’ve recently changed over to Avenues as I prefer the medication they offer and my consultant moved so I followed.

I ended up doing 3 rounds of embryo freezing before I turned 30 and got 3 embryos in total. Once frozen I then tried naturally again for a year and then at 31 I transfered my first embryo, she is now 1 ✨🎉

Mine is not quite as low but at 29 it ws 6.5. I was so hung up on it being low.
But I actually produced more eggs and then embryos than a close friend who had a very good amh - it was 30 something.
We ended up with 6 embryos, fresh was successful. We have had 2 frozen transfers since but unfortunately each time we had 1 embryo not survive the thaw. 1st frozen failed and currently pregnant with 2nd frozen.
I would be tempted to go with embryo banking, but just wanted to share that the fresh route worked for us.

Any other moms

I have encountered recurring instances where family members express an intention to contribute to my baby registries, only to subsequently fail to follow through.
Despite my efforts to share these registries, these empty commitments lead to later inquiries regarding the lack of necessary supplies for the children. While my partner and I proactively manage to build it up little by little, I find it frustrating when individuals make commitments they do not intend to fulfill.

How many weeks??

Hey girlies!!

We’ve been trying for a baby for the last 8 months with no luck, and decided to take a pause last month to give myself a chance to reset. And of course I found out a few days ago that I’m pregnant!!!!

Can’t believe it, and still in shock. All my tests have been faint, and I took a digital this morning which confirms 1-2 weeks pregnant. According to my tracking apps, I should be 5 weeks today, so I was expecting my digital to show 2-3 or 3+.

Now because I didn’t do any ovulation testing last month, I don’t actually know when I ovulated. I’m 99% sure I ovulated later this month, because i didn’t have sec during my typical ovulation window, only after. I think I’m around 14/15DPO, but I can’t be 100% sure.

Basically I’m freaking out a bit, as my tests are saying different to the apps and I just wanted a bit of reassurance❤️

Wondfo tests

Are these good tests? I’m only early and it’s super faint but I’m worried they all have faint lines on them.

Thank you 🫶🏽
