Sleep trouble at night

My little girl is almost 14 weeks old and the last few nights has been such a struggle to get her down for bed. We have a little routine going and I thought it was working. Until a few nights ago where no matter what I do she won’t sleep longer than about 5 minutes in her bedside crib. It takes me about 8/9 attempts before she actually falls asleep and stays asleep. Any advice on what I could do to make the process smoother or any idea of what could be causing her to continuously wake up?

It sounds like it could be the 4 month regression, my daughter has never been a great sleeper but the regressions have been pretty bad, not sure of a way through it, we just had to stick it out but just know it’s completely normal and nothing you’re doing wrong xx

My girl is coming up 16 weeks and I’d say the last 10 days have been really tough in the evenings. Worst night was over 3 hours of false starts to the night’s sleep. I don’t think it’s your routine suddenly not working - it’s your baby’s brain doing 100 new things moving the goalposts.
Once they’re over this stage of development, they should get into deeper sleeps more quickly, be better at staying asleep and hopefully have waved off any residual startle reflex.

Basically, I think it’s a case of clinging on and doing whatever works to get by for a month or so and then this side of things should hopefully level out a bit.
For my transfers atm, I’ve accepted that I’m doing them in the dark after 20 minutes of holding her asleep before I attempt and taking about five minutes to shift her from me into her cot.
