Reasurance

How are people dealing with the anxiety of just having to wait until 12 weeks 😫 this is my third pregnancy after two previous losses and im loosing my mind. I went for an early reassurance scan at 7 weeks where i saw heartbeat but im currently 9 weeks and i feel like my symptoms have died off and i just domt feel as pregnant as i did a few weeks ago. Im so worried something is wrong but i dont want to go for another scan as im also scared incase something is wrong. I just feel so lost and i just dont know how to deal with waiting i really want to know everything is okay 🥴

I went for another private one at 9 weeks, no way I could wait until 12 weeks. Also had one at 16 weeks too. After 8 years of trying I was too anxious not to

Honestly I would say the stress isnt worth it and if its financially viable to get another scan go for it. If somethings wrong its wrong but if its not then its just so so so worth that peace of mind. I had a 7 week a 12 week a 17 week and a 20 week obviously 2 were private because waiting that long each time was just not something I could cope with. A friend of mine was having a scan every week from 7 weeks to 12 because she had had a few miscarriages. Sometimes no matter what people tell you or how you talk to yourself knowing is the only way to get rid of that worry. Look at it this way you either worry there might be something wrong at the scan you book..uou go everything is fine and youre relieved or you worry that something is wrong and dont book the scan and just worry until your nhs scan. Its obviously completely your choice and worrying is normal but trying to keep calm is definitely a difficult endeavour when pregnant so however you can make it easier on you id take the opportunity. Also just to say that it is very normal for symptoms to come and go, I had barely any in the first trimester really, which in a way made me more anxious!

I had a 6 week scan, 12 week scan, 16 week scan & just got a date for my 20 week scan. I feel like the private scans in between waiting really helped! Have you tried journaling , speaking to family & friends. It’s hard not to worry but you aren’t alone ! Find something to help release your emotions & if you’re financially able book scans to ease your mind 💗 it’s normal to feel symptoms one day and not so much the next just because symptoms aren’t there doesn’t mean there’s something automatically wrong. Reach out to professionals if you feel like you need that extra support xx

Go for another scan honestly if you can go do go

If you can afford it, go for a private scan. I was exactly the same with my 3 year old as I was pregnant with him after losing my first baby at 27 weeks (placental abruption) but I think sometimes it is a mind over matter and overthinking is a nightmare when pregnant! X

Welcome October Twins

We did it! Hit 37 weeks on the nose for our October twin boys delivered via c section.

For any mamas at Heartlands in Birmingham - BRING YOUR OWN BUTTER! The trust has removed butter and replaced it with margarine, thankfully I was pre warned 🤣

Mama's who had a VBAC after one c-section I have questions!

How long did you push for your VBAC?

Did your scar change the sensation /pain levels of your contractions?

What gestation did you go into labor with your c-section vs your vbac?

And only semi related to c-section, if you were induced with your first and not with your VBAC, how did the contractions differ?

Also if you got to 10 CM and didn't push before your c-section at all let me know because I'm extra interested in hearing from you since that was my experience!

Multiple c-section mums…

When you had your second c-section, did they cut over the old scar or make a new incision?

20w scan

I’ve been for my 20 week scan today, baby measuring 20w 1 day, they’ve said I’m on the second percentile baby’s tummy is small, I’ve now been referred to fetal medicine clinic, and I’m so scared! I’m so worried 😟 any one been through this before?
