Hi ladies, I was wondering how recovery was after having two c sections?
Iv had one and planning another. First recovery was fine but wondered how second one would be xx

I had an emergency for my first and a planned for my second and both times recovery has been good with no issues

Had my second in July. Pretty much like the first. If anything a bit easier because you know what to expect

Second one was just as easy. No issues and more mobile with less pain from the start xx

My 2nd recovery has been weirdly good. I'm not sure how much of it was the different surgeon or the pico dressing or actually getting to go home the next day.
Currently weeks pp with no pain at all and the scar looks barely there even with an overhang. And I think that's been the case since at least 4 weeks pp.

I felt so much better after the second one, seemed easier for me

Ive had 3 and my 2nd was most probably the best granted the boiling hot weather and getting an infection but i felt more mobile and happy plodding around

Agreed that the second is easier than the first but my first was an emergency one after 19 hours of labour. I think knowing what to expect and getting home sooner have helped, though both times I’ve had infections so keep an eye out for that… A toddler kicking your scar doesn’t help 🥴🥹

Just had my 2nd elective on the 11th and finding it a bit harder, but also had a few issues during it so might be why

I just had my second Sept 11 and it’s not crazy bad I do have a wound vac this time and I do think it’s helped my first was 17yrs ago

I had 2 emergencies I found my second emergency easier to deal with because I knew what to expect , it was still sore to get up and down for a few days and also getting an infection I was still up and plodding about xxx

2 days out from 2nd which wasn’t an emergency. First one was. Recovery so much better this time! Very minimal pain and feeling much more independent x

Honestly I had 3 in less tbsn 4 years and i felt like the 2nd might have been the easiest… it might havs just been that i knew what to expect but j seriously didnt think it was harder than the first…(my3rd was the hardest but that was because j was at a different hospital without my doctor and it was an emergency c c-section tbst no one looked at any notes so they gave me a medicine i was not tolerant of but that was the hospitals fault and i was still walking that night, so i would say dont stress about it ans just remember you got this!!!

The second one healed same as the first one, a little easier to cope because I knew what was coming and what to expect.
My baby fell off the bed last night so rang 111, told to go to A&E and all fine. 111 said they were doing safeguarding assessment. What should I expect to happen? Not heard anything yet. Thank you

Did anyone have a bad experience with doctor at the hospital? I had my appointment today and I have waited an hour. I finally got called in and he asked me why I’m here? I felt like that was a red flag as you made me wait then asked me why I’m here then had the nerve to speak really fast without eye contact. He didn’t introduce me two nurses in the room. One nurse started testing my blood pressure using the machine while I had to figure to answer his question. I’ve told him to check my records and the nurse told him my BP. While this was going on me and my partner was looking at each other on how rude he was. Then started coming up with all these terminology and said I wasn’t anemic and to not worry about anything. I said the level dropped so it is concerning and he goes dw we can review it around 36 weeks. I said midwife said I need a drip and he goes I deal with that and to not worry and said is there anything else? Then had the cheekiness to say should have done this on telephone consultation. I was baffled and went.
