My baby fell off the bed last night so rang 111, told to go to A&E and all fine. 111 said they were doing safeguarding assessment. What should I expect to happen? Not heard anything yet. Thank you

You’ll just have someone from social services ring and ask about the situation, both you / partner if you was both there to make sure it lines up. Then that should be all. :)

Try not to worry, they are just looking out for your little one. They will just ask about what happened and may offer advice to avoid it in future. Sometimes they make you feel interrogated but its not their intention, so try not to take it personally. You'll be fine. X

Same here my baby fell off the sofa and I called 111 straight away, then drove straight to A&E, baby was completely fine. But I was so stressed, upset and worried. She’s all fine, but then they said they’d call safeguarding to visit the house. I said that’s completely fine it’s not a problem my baby’s environment is very safe and child friendly but it was just one mistake (btw I have twins) the safeguarding team called me the next day asked what happened, I explained. They said they’d call my partner and possibly visit the house. But, they never did, didn’t call my partner, didn’t visit the home. Just ended there… It’s a bit disappointing because there are babies out there who could be saved by this protocol but they just don’t follow through. :( I strongly believe they should’ve came over, and checked the house. But, they just didn’t.

Been in and out of triage for past 3 months with pain or discomfort, I have a 5 year told part time and it's not fair, I have really bad pgp and now a nother kidney infection think this is number 10, I'm 35 weeks on Wednesday and don't think I can do this for another 5 weeks can't they just bring my baby and save us both the stress of pain and me not being able to do anything

Did anyone have a bad experience with doctor at the hospital? I had my appointment today and I have waited an hour. I finally got called in and he asked me why I’m here? I felt like that was a red flag as you made me wait then asked me why I’m here then had the nerve to speak really fast without eye contact. He didn’t introduce me two nurses in the room. One nurse started testing my blood pressure using the machine while I had to figure to answer his question. I’ve told him to check my records and the nurse told him my BP. While this was going on me and my partner was looking at each other on how rude he was. Then started coming up with all these terminology and said I wasn’t anemic and to not worry about anything. I said the level dropped so it is concerning and he goes dw we can review it around 36 weeks. I said midwife said I need a drip and he goes I deal with that and to not worry and said is there anything else? Then had the cheekiness to say should have done this on telephone consultation. I was baffled and went.

Born yesterday at 10.05am weighing 6lbs 7oz.
Awful c-section and recovery but we're both doing well now!

I put in the self referral at 4 1/2 weeks, now almost at 8 weeks and I’ve heard nothing. I wasn’t worried but a friend whose due later has heard from the midwives. Trying to contact my GP but having no luck. Anyone got GP recommendations? Also any help on how to chase up midwife appointments?
