I had an emergency C but my friend had an elective with her first and is having an elective with her second. She’s got a meeting soon to discuss dates etc but she said it was a much more relaxed experience, you know when it’s going to happen and she’d recommend it to anyone considering

I had an elective section and it was a good experience. The theatre was very calm and the staff were great. My post-op care was awful but the hospital were short staffed as it was Covid. Healing took a few weeks but I walking next morning and was driving after about 2 weeks xx

I did (March last year). 🙂
It was nice and relaxed, knew exactly when he was going to be born, no surprises. Went in at about 7am and walked out with the little guy the next day around 2pm.
Recovery was all good, obviously everyone is different. I think I was off the pain meds at about a week as I was fine.
I’d say the moment they give you the go ahead to walk around - do it. Just don’t over do it. I got told off at the hospital as I didn’t want to sit down again 😂
If you got any questions, feel free to message x

Loved it, had two and will have a third.
Up and walking, showering alone and looking for coffee about 10-12 hours after. Took public transport home after my first and went to Costco on day 5.

Everyone is different but I had no real pain at all and didnt even finish the medication the second time. I recovered well both times, no real need for support. Just get full cotton granny knickers, set pill alarms and stay mobile.

111 raised safeguarding assessment

My baby fell off the bed last night so rang 111, told to go to A&E and all fine. 111 said they were doing safeguarding assessment. What should I expect to happen? Not heard anything yet. Thank you

28 weeks appointment

Did anyone have a bad experience with doctor at the hospital? I had my appointment today and I have waited an hour. I finally got called in and he asked me why I’m here? I felt like that was a red flag as you made me wait then asked me why I’m here then had the nerve to speak really fast without eye contact. He didn’t introduce me two nurses in the room. One nurse started testing my blood pressure using the machine while I had to figure to answer his question. I’ve told him to check my records and the nurse told him my BP. While this was going on me and my partner was looking at each other on how rude he was. Then started coming up with all these terminology and said I wasn’t anemic and to not worry about anything. I said the level dropped so it is concerning and he goes dw we can review it around 36 weeks. I said midwife said I need a drip and he goes I deal with that and to not worry and said is there anything else? Then had the cheekiness to say should have done this on telephone consultation. I was baffled and went.

Blood in baby's nappy

Anyone ever had this?
This evening when I changed my baby girl's nappy, there was some blood in , and it looked like it was from around the vagina. Obviously freaked out, but I keep thinking that at her previous nappy change, she made a supermassive poop that was spread all over the place, even on her vagina, and I keep thinking that maybe i accidentally scratched her while I tried to wipe everything clear. That is the only explanation I can think of, but obviously my mind is filled with all sort of terrible thoughts about internal bleeding and such. (Nobody could hurt her, as she was with me all the time.) We checked now and hour later, and no more bleeding, patted it with some dry cotton wool, and no more blood for now. Phoned a pediatrician friend who said that we should keep an eye on it for now.
I feel like I will keep secretly checking her nappy throughout the night due to worrying...
