Baby movements?

I’m 21+5 and movements are VERY sporadic - some days I feel nothing at all. It makes me nervous to be able to track if he’s safe in there. Is this normal and does anyone have any advice on how to alleviate worry/track him more reliably?

I’m in the same boat! i’m 21+2 and baby was very active over the weekend but nothing the past few days. I think it’s still very normal though as baby is still so small and no consistent patterns until at least 24 weeks, this is what i keep trying to tell myself x

Very similar here, 22+2 today over the weekend feel like he was active all the time but I was just at home, this week so far no consistency with movements today very little yesterday alot. Having another scan at 24 weeks due to him measuring small but until then trying not to worry and just taking the reassurance from feeling him at all 🥰

I’m 23+1 and it’s the same for me, movements are getting stronger each week but still sporadic. Some days he’s kicking like crazy, others it’s back to light flutters x

I am 23 weeks +1 and it is the same for me. Thought I was the only one feeling this until I saw your posts & the comments!
I can do a day or two without much movement, with me worrying and then the next day there is movement, which can be a little or sometimes a bit more.
I would suggest booking in some private scans if you can. We have booked in private scans every 4 weeks now until a month before baby arrives x

Will I be induced if I keep having episodes of reduced movements?

I’m currently 36+5 and have been in 4 times so far with reduced movements. I have low PAPP-A so have been advised to keep an eye on movements but now that I’m getting closer to term I’m worried about being induced. This is my second baby and with my first I went naturally at 39 weeks, so an induction scares me! Obviously I want what’s best for the baby but I feel like I’m talking myself out of going into triage again just incase they suggest an induction! Has anyone else experienced an induction due to reduced movements?

2 Under 3

Hello everyone. I have a son who was born April 5, 2024... And I just found out that I am pregnant with baby number 2, but little bean is also due in April 2027. For those of you that have kids born in the same month, how do you handle or prepare for this?

Baby head down and engaged

This is my second pregnancy and I’m 37+2 (due 5th Oct). I got told at my midwife appointment baby is engaged. Can this mean labour could come soon?

42 weekers only please

I am 42 +1 today. I still am measured at 1cm
and 50% effaced. Everything looked great on scans. I can’t remember with my previous pregnancies how dilated I was before birth. How dilated were you before active labor?

Referred to fetal medicine

Looking for some similar stories please. I’m 26+2 weeks and I’ve been having growth scans every 2 weeks because the baby is measuring small (especially her head). Following my growth scan today, the fetal medicine unit have called asking me to go in for a specialist scan. The woman scared the life out of me on the phone saying it could be chromosome issues etc. has anyone had any experience with this?
