Struggling with solids

My baby is 9 months old & im still struggling to get him to eat. I really don’t see how by 12 months old he’ll be having 3 meals a day as he’s no where near that!

I’m lucky if he eats what I offer him, sometimes he’ll have a 2/3 spoonfuls and then he’ll have enough and refuse more. I usually offer food about 2 hours after a bottle, so I know it’s not his milk interfering. I’ve tried most things, finger foods & purées.

Is anyone else’s baby the same?

Don’t worry just offer him food and let him explore my 10 month old is on 2 meals and he also take few spoons and i don’t force him because till 1 year milk is the main food.

My baby was the exact same, he is breastfed and just wanted me had no interest in food this was from 6 months when you start weaning and he got to 9 months and I thought the exact same as you people were posting what their littles were eating and I was like he has no interest and honestly it was like a switch went and one day he decided he was intrested and now at just over 10 months he eats pretty much anything so far, so I think its really just whenever they are ready, I did not think we'd be here, hope this helps.

Same here, my son wasnt great with solids, then had a major set back after finding an allergy. Im stressing about it, but only because he needs to be eating well when I go back to work at 1 year pp, otheriwss id not be worried one bit 🤦‍♀️
My first son was eating 3 meals and 2 snacks by now, so its quite a struggle.
Some days will be better than others, just offer those 3 meals, even him playing with the food is a win!
He'll get there eventually, I promise x

My baby will eat purees but sometimes only a small amount. She will not eat finger foods at all!! She gags and looks disgusted when it touches her mouth.

My son is 10 months old he’s on 3 meals a day atm but he’s not eating nowhere near enough to reduce his milk atm it’s definitely getting better tho I’d say just keep offering him food and it’ll balance out eventually x

My first was like this, till about 11 months, she didn't really consume much. Meal times were mostly for fun and exploration, squeezing foods, mashing foods, manipulating new textures, and temperatures in her mouth even if it got spat out. Makesure you eat with them and the same things so you can physically show them what to do and make 'mmm yummy banana*' sounds, and 'mamabite, mama chew, mmmmm' if you get me. Get them involved in the cooking, at this age it's more letting them see you cook, and trying a bit of, soemthing like, avocado, while you prepare the rest of the food. Just get them interested, let them hold and play with the food, and let then have fun!

Funded hours

Does anyone know the actual eligibility for 30 hours funded childcare in UK?
I’ve read it’s if you earn 100k or less a year but I know some people who aren’t eligible for it when they earn 30k or so
Super confusing
Any advice or information will be appreciated! 🙏🏻

Is this normal for a caring loving partner

Today, I came home around 10pm and found our daughter still awake, so I asked my boyfriend what had happened and whether she’d had her milk. He said he’d been busy and had given her snacks instead. When she asked for a banana, I said no because it was bedtime, but he still handed her the banana while it was still in its peel. I asked why he gave it to her, and he told me to stop questioning him. I explained that I was trying to understand and make sure we were on the same page. I then agreed to put our daughter to bed because I thought he had something he needed to do, but he was actually just sitting on his phone. I asked him to put her to bed so I could cook, ice a cake and prepare for my early start, I need to be up and out by 6am tomorrow morning, but he refused because we’d already agreed that I would do it. I asked again because I needed the help, but he still refused, so I put her to bed myself. Overall, I feel like whenever I ask questions or seek clarity, he feels questioned and becomes defensive, which leaves me feeling dismissed and frustrated.

Thoughts…

My husband is going to Spain over the weekend and for a few days in the week to help his cousin with an event. I can’t help but feel jealous. I’ve been doing the nights with my 4 month old and I really barely sleep at night. I get him to help but I have to wake him up to help sometimes over the weekend. I’m exhausted and just feel like he will be living his best life and leaving me with the 4 month old and toddler. Am I being selfish

Weaning

My baby will be 6 months in a couple of days we have just started introducing little bits of food as she was showing all signs of being ready. I gave her something last night, as well as baby porridge this morning and was going to give her something this evening also, and shes tried a baby blueberry waffer which she loves. I was just wondering is this too much for her only just being 6 months but shes really enjoying trying new foods. Shes having about a tablespoon in the morning and evening and im just letting her tell me when shes had enough usually she wont open her mouth if shes had enough as otherwise shes opening her mouth for it.

I hate my nursery

My son’s nursery saying staff spend too much time on photos, Tapestry and long feedback, so they’ll be reducing all of that. They want practitioners focused on the children, not admin, and parents should expect fewer updates unless something important happens. I don’t like that! I want updates
