2/5 engaged?

ChatGPT says: So, 2/5 engaged generally means the baby’s head is well down in the pelvis, but it does not necessarily mean labour is about to start. Engagement can happen days or weeks before labour, particularly with a first baby.

Also my midwife says baby is 2/5 currently but she meant it as head has another 3 to go until fully engaged. She said all midwives measure differently as when you google it 2/5 technically should mean head is basically nearly engaged🤦‍♀️ so not sure why where I live they do it the opposite to what they’re meant to.

But no it makes no difference, labour can start and then at that point baby can move down and become engaged so don’t need to worry too much. Although it’s more optimum chance of successful vaginal birth if baby is engaged xx

I was told I was 3/5 at 37 weeks im 40+1 now still no sign of labour 😅 just means babies in a good position for when you are :)
