Hospital bag!

I’m due on the 7th of November and still haven’t packed my hospital bag. When should I get this sorted? And what do I need? What are things I definitely need to pack that I will definitely forget to pack if it’s not on my list???

I packed WAY too much in my hospital bag (I just had my first), but the list of things I actually ended up using were as follows:
-a gown for labor that buttons in the back in case you decide to do the epidural (I went into labor thinking I’d do all natural but ended up getting it after 20 hours of labor)
-grippy socks for walking around during labor cause those floors are slippery
-ponytails (you’re gonna get hot real fast and afterwards you don’t wanna worry about your hair in their face and constantly throwing it over your shoulder)
-regular toiletries like toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, maybe a travel size dry shampoo
-phone charger
-a pillow and blanket from home cause what they give you is uncomfortable and leaves you freezing (pack them for your SO if they’re staying the night with you cause they dont provide anything for anyone else really)
-post partum hoo hah aftercare (I heavily recommend the Frida postpartum kit)

I'm the week after you and haven't started anything yet. Other than ordering a few bits. I was going to do mine in like 3 weeks x

There's lots of lists out there, but I think the NHS one is pretty comprehensive 😊 Hospital bag checklist - Best Start in Life - NHS https://share.google/mOXDPQgMBhxrJiG3n

I had mine packed for 32 weeks because I had baby at 36 weeks last time xx

Private scan

Has anyone else paid for a scan and not been able to see baby’s face? My partner feels like it was a waste of money I see where he’s coming from but I’m just glad I got to hear baby’s heart beat and seeing the baby moving. What would you do?

Toddlers are something else 😭🤣

I’m just sitting here minding my own business at 8 months pregnant and my toddler comes up to me and says “who got you pregnant”!!!
I looked at her like “what” and she repeated herself so I said “her daddy”! So she said “why did my daddy get you pregnant” 😳
So I said “I don’t know”! She says “it’s fine I will call him and ask him”…. She grabs my phone calls her dad who’s at work and he was sounded mortified, when she said “why did you get my mummy pregnant”! I couldn’t fully remember what he said because I couldn’t stop laughing!!! Nothing can prepare you to be a parent to a toddler!! 😭😂

Tips to induce labour

Im 40 weeks on Sunday and have a C-section booked for Tuesday. I don’t want the section but because of previous C-section due to preemie baby I’m not allowed to be induced - either by body goes into labour naturally or C-section :( - I have a needy toddler at home so would prefer natural in terms of recovery!

Please give me all your tips 🙏🏼
