We've had our first party invite already, my little one is so excited.
I'm new to it all but what is the best when it comes to a birthday gift? Especially as we don't know the child?
Would a gift voucher be ok? Maybe for Smyths so they can pick something out?
I know my daughter would love to buy and wrap and give her friend a gift but I don't know what they like or have or are allowed to have etc etc so a gift card feels the safest bet but I'm not sure

If they have RSVP information you could ask the parent - i have for a couple. Or go for any toy really, uou kind of expect to get lots of toys!

I always buy Pyjamas, can never go wrong š¤£

We now have themed birthday parties so itās pretty obvious but if I donāt know I go for something like arts and crafts for girls and books or board games for boys.
Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations for the best type of underwear to get to wear during c section recovery?

I have had my obstetrician appointment at 36+5 days to request my elective c section.
The consultant requested the surgery for the 1st October making me 38+5 days on the day of surgery. But she did caution that it may be between the 1st-8th depending on theatre availability.
How many people got honoured the date they requested, and how many requested a specific date and was given a different date?

The midwife told me to remove it on day 5. I had my c section Monday morning so does that mean today or tomorrow?

Iām currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep having pains in my back/side and itās exactly like a cramp and it feels as if that part of my back seizes up and tightens and I canāt get rid of the pain, has anyone else had this and if so do you know how to get rid of it š« itās been like this for over a week now, I canāt do anything without it getting triggered, I feel like it may be from the position baby girl is in but I feel so helpless Iām in pain literally everyday š„²

Had my growth scan today (38+5 weeks) and baby girl is at a EFW of 8.7lbs š
The lady doing the ultrasound was amazed at how big she was asking if sheās previously been measuring big, asking if I have GD (which I donāt), said baby has a chubby belly so my placenta must be doing a really good job, that sheās very very low down, her legs are very very long and said āwow you must be feeling that, this baby is going to be a bruiserā.
Throughout my whole pregnancy sheās been measuring big and Iāve always taken her efw with a pinch of salt as theyāre not 100% accurate and have been quite excited to give birth but after the sonographers comments today I just feel so nervous and anxious for labour. Iām in constant pain because of how low she is, my š± has swollen and the lightning crotch is unbearable to walk/sit/lay down. Did anyone elseās baby measure big during their ultrasound appointments? If so, how was it in labour? Will they suggest a c section for me because of her weight? I want to go all natural as I have sciatica so donāt want an epidural incase it messes up my back more and I really want to push.

I found out a few weeks ago that my placenta is currently covering my cervix. Iām hopeful that this will move as baby grows but looking for what others experiences was in this position. Did your placenta move as baby grew? Did you find you was able to give birth naturally? Or did you have to have a c-section? Trying be as prepared as possible for the potential outcome. Ideally I donāt want a c-section personally as Iāll have a 15/16month when baby will be here but Iām understanding that it might have to happen.
