That’s it really.. I am almost 38 weeks. Took annual leave before my maternity. I have to clean but all I done for a week is bed rot watching Netflix. I can’t sleep either as I get pains and bad contractions. I cook but that’s about it. I am fed up, useless and feel bad..

Girl I feel you! I also took off annual leave before maternity and it is boring lol I am slowly cleaning rooms! But at my own pace but it takes it out of me! I am 35 weeks tomorrow but finding myself small jobs to do! And every little counts! Like today I sorted out some drawers and bleached the toilets! Even unclogged my ensuite bathroom sink as my husband shaves in that sink and always blocks it 😒😒But then get I too get fed up! But you do what you can xx and don’t be too hard on yourself xx

I’m 37 weeks and I feel the same… I’ve been doing chores round the house but today I’ve been so achey and tired I’ve just laid on the sofa watching telly. Don’t feel bad, you have a full grown baby attached to you right now and your body is prepping for birth. I get where you’re coming from though as mentally I want to be up and doing stuff but physically im shattered!
Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations for the best type of underwear to get to wear during c section recovery?

So I’m 34 weeks and baby has been measuring large (only his tummy) since 2 growth scans ago which is bringing him to the 98th percentile and currently guessed at 5.6lbs!
My first baby was born at 7.11lbs so they have said he is big for my gestation in comparison
I am in so much pain and have been in preterm labour since 29 weeks so the contractions have been awful but never any progression! And his movements have slowed right down despite positive CTG and scans showing he is okay
Has anyone had this with baby? Gestational test was negative and I have a blood sugar test on Saturday
I have a midwife appointment and I’m wondering about requesting induction at 37 weeks ( I had my last at 38 weeks and almost ended up in a C section as my pelvis was to narrow and be kept getting stuck) so I’m getting very anxious about trying to deliver an even bigger baby!!
Thankyou in advance

I have had my obstetrician appointment at 36+5 days to request my elective c section.
The consultant requested the surgery for the 1st October making me 38+5 days on the day of surgery. But she did caution that it may be between the 1st-8th depending on theatre availability.
How many people got honoured the date they requested, and how many requested a specific date and was given a different date?

I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep having pains in my back/side and it’s exactly like a cramp and it feels as if that part of my back seizes up and tightens and I can’t get rid of the pain, has anyone else had this and if so do you know how to get rid of it 😫 it’s been like this for over a week now, I can’t do anything without it getting triggered, I feel like it may be from the position baby girl is in but I feel so helpless I’m in pain literally everyday 🥲

The midwife told me to remove it on day 5. I had my c section Monday morning so does that mean today or tomorrow?

Has anyone given gripe water to their 3 week old? My little boy appears to be struggling with trapped wind. He’s currently on aptamil and absolutely guzzles it like he’s never been fed but then I find he struggles with winding following a bottle and also is now only going for poos every two to three days which I think is also making him uncomfortable. TIA x
