Hey, I’m just posting because I’ve got horrendous mum guilt. I have a 3 year old and now a 3 month old. Prior to having my baby, I was out with 3 year old all the time, always busy. That’s obviously not been the case since having baby. We still do go out but I feel like it isn’t as often. Am I just being harsh on myself? I just find it so overwhelming at the minute but don’t want my toddler to feel like the bar has dropped!

It’s okay, girl. You’re doing the best you can 😊 I remember finding it so overwhelming at 3 months with just one baby, let alone two! 😅 It’s still so early days, and I’m sure with time you’ll find your own groove and going out with two will be easier for you.
I honestly think if you pushed yourself to go out more when you were already feeling overwhelmed, and then continued to feel that way, it could just lead to burnout and make things even harder. It’s much better to do what you can, at your own pace, and make sure you’re okay so you can be present and happy for your babies, rather than pushing yourself to a point where you have nothing left to give. ❤️

I also had my second baby when my daughter was 3 years of age and felt a similar way. I just made sure I was paying her alot of attention when my youngest was napping. So I would do things like bake cakes with her and doing pictures drawing etc. Now she's five and when it's the school holidays I take her out to eat at a restaurant while her younger sister would be in nursery so that she has that one on one bounding time with me.

I feel this way too. I tell myself it’s just a short time and eventually I’ll have energy to take them both out to different activities. You’re still present with them at home and that matters!
My daughter started Reception this September, and it seems like they watch one or two cartoons every day. One is usually *Numberblocks*, but the other changes—sometimes it’s *Bluey*, sometimes *Zog*...I’m not too happy about this, but I don’t know if it’s common for schools to use cartoons for various reasons. I wouldn’t want to be the only mom complaining 😅

I have a daughter who will be 2 in December and I have been holding it together this whole time well yesterday I cracked. I needed to go to the dmv I asked my partner if he could take me so he could help with our daughter. I don’t have a car but he does. I never ask him to get me anywhere I figure it out and this is why. He comes in that morning and says oh about the dmv I was thinking you could just uber. Ok fine but I needed help with the baby but whatever. It was a nightmare she was screaming bloody murder nothing would calm her down. Everyone in there is irritated with me. I couldn’t navigate the stroller in the lines because they were really narrow. I could calm her down I tried everything. I walked out the door and I can usually just push through and I just cry at night but I couldn’t. I broke down. I cried I tried to call my sister but she was hanging out with my aunt and couldn’t talk. I had nobody else to call and she is still just crying. It took me close to an hour to calm her down. I told my partner and he was just like yeah last time I went to the DMV this guy behind me was getting on my nerves. I just can’t keep doing this alone. But then everybody needs me to help them but when I need help nothing. It’s frustrating but I have to because at the end of the day other than my daughter nobody cares about me. And that’s sad. But I just have to keep pushing through.

Hi people. I can’t stand my man since having my baby. He has nowhere near met my expectations of how he should help and trust me, I’m not too demanding. He’s not changed one nappy, one outfit, doesn’t wake up for night feeds. All I ask is when its early morning close to time he gets up for work to just give a fricking bottle and let me catch up on sleep and he says he’s got work. He is a provider and chooses to work his second job on weekends so we basically have a day a week as a family. I literally hate this man now, have NO desire to have sex and don’t even want to stay faithful. I know I should just leave but my baby is so young and I really didn’t want this for myself. It’s a hard pill to swallow that this is my current situation…

Hi everyone! My little boy is 8 and half months old, we have been trying to wean him since 6 months but he is still not that interested, he doesn’t like purées as he won’t open his mouth for a spoon, and if I give him the spoon he uses his other hand to scrap the food off. We are mainly doing BLW which he will happily put the food in his mouth, but if he gets any in his mouth, he will gag and spit it out. Anyone having anything similar? He is still having breastmilk as I know their nutrition all still comes from their milk until they are 1, I’m just worried he is taking a long time to grasp the concept of swallowing food
