2nd attempt at potty training and we are having the weirdest issue. No accidents she is just holding for hours this happened last time we tried for a whole month then reverted back to pull ups. Day 3 trying again and she’s doing the same I could cry.

I’m in the same boat seems interested in it all then soon as it comes down to it he is like no and holds himself for hours x

Hey I am also doing a second attempt at the moment, and am noticing something similar!
She seems to be going hours and hours without going. I wasn't sure if she was holding it - she didn't seem uncomfortable and was still going but very infrequently.
A friend told me hers (a year older) only pees maybe 3 times a day?
Does your child seem uncomfortable, does she get upset, ask for a nappy or hides? Is she using the potty at all just going long periods without?
I'm wondering if the first time I was expecting her to go too much, or if she's starting to "consolidate" and not really need to go very much.
If she doesn't seem uncomfortable and is going at points in the day it might be ok - you could call your GP if you're anxious

We had exactly the same with our now potty trained boy. The GP said it was only an issue if he was holding for 8-10 hours after he said he needed to go. We powered through and after a week or 2 the anxiety of going was gone and since he goes 4-5 times a day. We were advised to not ask or take him at regular intervals but just wait until we could see he was absolutely desperate and then quickly put him on the potty or wait until he told us he needed to go. Once we stopped asking him or telling him he needed to do it was way easier. To be honest it’s worth it in the long run as I have friends who are having to take their kids every 30 minutes whereas we can go out all day and use the potty a handful of times!

Surely holding it is a good sign of control ?
I’m so flustered. My husband and I have been trying to find a church home after moving to Rochester. We are very selective with church homes. we want it to go along with our beliefs , diverse, and have safe childcare. I have 3 toddlers 3 and under so there’s no way we could take them to service without causing a scene. Well today went to a church that we have gone to before. It opened a year ago and we went on the opening day. We didn’t like it too much. It was very chaotic and we said we would give it a chance again one day because it was their 1st day maybe we could try it again in the future. Well today went barely had gas, we were running late to the main church we go to so decided to go to this church that we hadn’t been to in a minute because it worked out better logistically. Well we dropped our 3 sons off and at the end of church we see our son walking in the hall with the pastors wife and another volunteer at the church. He immediately shouts “mama!” I ask “what’s going on”. They proceed to say that “he was found walking outside in the middle of the street following behind a man.” They asked the man is that your son and the man responded no. I am beyond upset. I have always had a hard time trusting leaving my sons with anyone. I have gotten better over the years because I feel I have no choice when it comes to us going to church. We spoke to daycare teacher and she repeatedly apologized right along with the pastors wife. It still just doesn’t feel good enough. They gave us stickers to confirm that the child belongs to us and somehow that still didn’t work. We have no idea how my son just slipped out of the childcare room and ended up outside in downtown Rochester. If anyone has any idea on what we should do that would be much appreciated. Keep in mind the rooms are not built for children. The church is having service out of a random older building downtown.
But just know we won’t be back! I’m so upset 😭

This is including public toilet. At what age would you let them go on their own inside a cubicle and just wait outside for them?

So me and my husband having going back and forth with the same issue since 15 years ago, he is distant and doesn’t have much interest in what I do or have to say. He is either on his phone or sleeping when there is time for us to spend together. He provides and is a good dad, spends time with the kids. He only pays attention to me just before he wants to get intimate. I am sick and tired of been lonely in this marriage. I have given my all, I am a good wife and mother. I have reached a point of not reaching out anymore. I do worry for the consequences of our marriage totally firing once I act the way he does too bu it’s exhausting from my end. Anyone else going through this. Divorce isn’t an option yet as the kids are young and it’s highly impractical to be a single mum for me. What to do, to survive this marriage?

My husband and I been together for 5 years , married for 1 1/2. When we first got together I went with him to a quince ( his cousins ) that’s where I met everyone ( his whole family etc ) . I got a long with his cousins.. this one girl that I assumed was his cousin came up to me complementing me whatever. Ig his cousins seen that n told me that my husband has something with her years ago and I was in shock because I’m like umm how come he didn’t tell me?? I told him about it and he told me that yes they did things ( sexually) but it was never nothing outside of that. I had my questions and he answered. Fast forward to now! She comes around because her parents are close to my in laws . I keep it respectful but I don’t go beyond that. She came to our baby shower which whatever but wtf?? I feel like she keeps it respectful too but she throws things at me. Like current words she says are specifically for me.. whatever I let it go. Anyways yesterday people came over to the house because there was a soccer game on . Her parents came but not her. It’s night and my husband and I are outside with her parents and my in laws. We are just talking giggling.. mind you his dad is drunk n he’s so dumb when he’s drunk. He was talking about something and he told her parents “ everyone knows my son had something good with your daughter , it ended and now he’s with Angelica , which is good cus she’s a good person “ and I’m like huh?? Something good? So I’m just there but I am heated and confused. I look at my husband in a weird way n he just puts his head down and I go inside. He follows me.. but I just told him I needed space. Am I wrong? Am I over exaggerating. I know that they did something sexual YEARS ago. But I asked him if they ever dated , went out with eachother or if he liked her and he told me no that they barely talked and that he fucked her a couple times. That it was nothing outside of that. He told me when I first found out when I had my questions. So he lied to me. Because obviously it was something if his parents knew about it.. I’m upset because why didn’t he tell me? Why did he lie about it?? Why did his dad do that ? I feel dumb because she comes to all our parties and talks to him n everything. This morning he brought it up and told me that it shouldn’t bother me because it was years ago. I’m upset. So upset. To the point where I’m going to give him the same energy back. Someone help

Daycare teacher here. I’m a lead teacher at a daycare and my class is 3 year olds. My ratio is 15 to 1. I have exactly 15 kids in my class. 5 of them are NOT potty trained. They aren’t even in the process of training. I’ve communicated with parents about it. They’ll tell me “oh they’re just not ready” and other excuses. If a 3 year old can come tell me that they need a new diaper/pull up every time they poop then they are definitely ready and can start potty training. The rooms built for 3 year olds at my center don’t have changing tables. I have to change my kids while they’re standing. My director expects me to watch 14 kids while also changing a diaper in the bathroom that’s off to the corner of the room. We have floaters but my director thinks a floater is not needed in a room that’s within ratio. I could get written up or fired if anything were to happen to any of my kids if I’m stuck in the bathroom changing a diaper. I tried having a talk with my director about this and she basically told me that there was nothing that could be done and that we can’t force parents to do anything they don’t want to do. The least my center could possibly do is have a changing table in the room so I can still have eyes on my other kids. What should I do? BTW we do offer potty training but it does not work if parents aren’t continuing at home.

I'm thinking about trying to find the woman it belongs to. She signed her name and her birthday.
