Anyone else experiencing this:
- all of a sudden waking up between 5-5.30am daily. (Usually goes back to sleep but not for the last few weeks. Just screams until we get him. Seems behavioural more than anything)
- fighting naps/bedtime. Usually we just pop him in his cot and he turns over and off to sleep but last few days he’s been really fighting going down and just wants to cuddle more or be around us.
The early wakes is what’s affecting us the most. He’s not waking up ready to start his day. He’s still tired.
He goes to bed usually around 7pm.
Naps 12.30-2ish
Mon-Fri he’s in nursery
I fear the first wake window is too long but nursery have their routine and won’t put him down earlier as they all go sleep together in a room.
Food as well - he’s not eating as much or has a few spoons and just keeps turning his head away. I can see he wants to self eat more but I’m struggling to let him with the mess 😬 he’a generally good with food once he gets a taste of it but sometimes it’s just point blank refusal.
I have a 4m old too so it’s soooo exhausting.

Iv just come through the otherside of 8 weeks unrest, nothing I could do! It was 5am wakes and 6-8 times a night wake ups! 😭

I would personally be letting him feed himself - I don’t feed my daughter anything now all self feeding

I have actually added a very similar post yestedsay, as I’m going through exactly the same with my little girl.
She’s not only waking up at 5am for the day, but wakes up at 1am and stays awake for 2/3 hours chatting and playing, eventually crying until I pick her up.
It’s been a struggle for the past 3 weeks.
Our sleep consultant advised it’s most probably teething together with a developmental leap and to be consistent with routines.

We're going through the same for about 3/4 weeks, taking ages to fall asleep for night sleep, short naps, wakeful in the night and early rises. I think she does have a molar coming in but I guess as Emilia says they are changing massively at this age.. it is a nightmare though, can't wait to get through it!

We've had the similar the last 3 weeks. Its likely the 18 month regression. Just have to ride it out like all the other ones unfortunately 🙃😭 My LO has been napping awfully, waking up all of a sudden between 2 and 5am (was sleeping through before) and he's also teething as well (usually molars around this stage). Also usually a difficult period with separation anxiety which could explain what you're going through. Solidarity!! Its a really tough stage xx
How many times a month in the first year postpartum do you and your husband have sex? (Trying to figure out what the normal range is for partners with a baby!)

Hi all, does anyone have recommendations for a good nappy for nights? 3 month old is sleeping in good stretches but nappies can’t keep up. Tried Aldi and pampers and now on Sainsbury’s and they are great in day but not at night?! Thanks so much

My three month old cries before every nap. He’s fine in the night when fed to sleep, but before every single day nap there is 5-25 minutes of crying. We follow wake windows as best we can but it doesn’t seem to matter whether he’s awake one hour or three hours!
Did anyone else have this, and has come out the other side?

If your partner didn’t force you to go to bed at a certain time, but got annoyed if you went to bed before he was ready or wanted to stay down for longer when he wants to go to bed, would that be considered controlling? Seeing as there’s no forcing involved just getting annoyed by it?

Hey! I’m really interested to hear people’s thoughts/experiences with swaddling for newborns? I’ve heard it’s supposed to be great to keep them relaxed etc but also was told yesterday it’s not a method that they use anymore which is completely new to me!! Any thoughts?

My 6 week old has always slept generally well until about 4am when he starts grunting and crying etc in his sleep struggling with wind. It’s getting so bad he’s screaming in his sleep. We soothe him and then he’ll start again 10 mins later. The only thing that seems to help is laying him on us which obviously isn’t ideal for sleeping.
Any suggestions on anything to help? We’re using gripe water atm but not seeing a significant difference!
