I have a 2 yr old daughter she will be 3 in November I just don't know what to do anymore she's super attached & when I leave or just step away for a min she gets overly stressed I do believe she has ADHD I know it's too early to diagnose. Are there any gummies that could help calm her more during the day I just don't know what else to do. I'm a single mom doing everything by myself and it's to the point that I am very overly stimulated

A mom I nanny for time to time gives her son the kids melatonin gummies everyday around 5 or 6. You could also try some magnesium lotion OR idk what your daily routine looks like but increased outside time, and starting off in small intervals leaving her alone just to show her she’s okay without you. This is just me giving things that has helped my nieces (aunt of 16 kids here lol) you’re doing great mama. You’re her safe space but that’s doesn’t mean you don’t deserve you time! Please reach out if you ever feel overwhelmed. We could talk 🩷

What kind of reactions of distress is she showing? Sometimes it's typical Velcro baby type things and attachment that they will work through with time but if it's more, you need someone to step in to sit with your kiddo and start getting them use to you leaving and coming back to show a pattern to your kid that you'll come back

Girl, I completely understand you. ❤️ I’ve been there with my kids, and that constant “Mommy, Mommy” when you’re already overstimulated is HARD, especially when you’re doing it all by yourself. 😭
What helped me was giving my kids little things to keep them busy while I got things done—favorite toys, a show, music, snacks, or their milk. I remember my daughter wouldn’t let me shower without crying for me, so sometimes I’d keep her safely nearby with a toy or bottle while I showered with the door open. 😂 You just have to get creative sometimes!
I’d talk to her pediatrician before giving her any calming gummies, especially at 2. And mama, give yourself some grace. You’re not a bad mom you’re just overwhelmed and tired. ❤️

As someone with ADHD, I found out at 6. My dad wanted me on meds. My mom didn’t. I was a zombie, no personality, no friends, etc. my mom found out that Fish Oil is the best alternative. That with routines, schedules, explaining the next steps before it happens can really help with the transitioning. “After dinner you’re getting a bath.” “After you go down the slide we’re leaving.”
I also have 2yr old twins who I believe have ADHD (and their speech therapist say that they concur, but can’t diagnose) so I don’t want to put them on meds like me and I’m waiting until they’re old enough to get tested. I do think it’s really hard when they’re constantly wanting me and they don’t understand that I need to do the dishes or cook or do laundry…so sometimes I get them to help me. For space and alone time I tend to do it when they’re eating and I put on Bluey. It keeps them entertained and I get a bit of peace. If you have any other questions, let me know!

Not sure what you have tried, but I'll tell you what works for me. My girl is nearly 2 and I've gotten in the habit of always announcing where I'm going and saying I'll be right back or back in "x" minutes. Young kids (and especially neurodivergent kids) often struggle with transitions, so I think this is a good way to help with the anxiety around transitions. Obviously the stress is greater if I have to actually leave her with someone else and not just go to a different part of the house. Best advice is to get down to her level, calmly explain that you will be back later, offer a hug and then some sort of distraction to transition her to a new activity. Don't draw out the goodbye; it can just prolong the distress instead of fixing it. Odds are that she will calm down within a few minutes after you leave. Remember that this is a phase and she will adjust if you keep her routine consistent. Any sort of medication (natural or not) is not a reliable, long-term solution if not paired with coping strategies.

I would talk to your pediatrician before trying anything like gummies to calm your child. They would know what is best to give them.

Kids are high energy, run her ragged and tire her out. Do you have a yard for a play area? Can you take her to a park if you don't have a yard? If her level of energy is too high, take her outside to burn it. If you have a dog have them run around with each other (two birds, one stone with that). Have her help with cleaning and picking stuff up, get her moving. As adults we don't realize just how much we have slowed down and have less energy than kids.
I don't recommend self diagnosis. It can be very easy to misdiagnose oneself or a loved one. With that I don't recommend giving her anything especially for behavioral concerns without talking to a doc before.
As for the clinginess, if it is just normal baby clinginess you have to just force it little by little. Step away more frequently, encourage alone play. Talk to her all the time, say you'll be right back, tell her what you are doing. And slowly step away for longer and longer. She may cry at first but will calm and slowly get used to it.

she’s 2.
How many times a month in the first year postpartum do you and your husband have sex? (Trying to figure out what the normal range is for partners with a baby!)

Hi all, does anyone have recommendations for a good nappy for nights? 3 month old is sleeping in good stretches but nappies can’t keep up. Tried Aldi and pampers and now on Sainsbury’s and they are great in day but not at night?! Thanks so much

My three month old cries before every nap. He’s fine in the night when fed to sleep, but before every single day nap there is 5-25 minutes of crying. We follow wake windows as best we can but it doesn’t seem to matter whether he’s awake one hour or three hours!
Did anyone else have this, and has come out the other side?

If your partner didn’t force you to go to bed at a certain time, but got annoyed if you went to bed before he was ready or wanted to stay down for longer when he wants to go to bed, would that be considered controlling? Seeing as there’s no forcing involved just getting annoyed by it?

Hey! I’m really interested to hear people’s thoughts/experiences with swaddling for newborns? I’ve heard it’s supposed to be great to keep them relaxed etc but also was told yesterday it’s not a method that they use anymore which is completely new to me!! Any thoughts?

My 6 week old has always slept generally well until about 4am when he starts grunting and crying etc in his sleep struggling with wind. It’s getting so bad he’s screaming in his sleep. We soothe him and then he’ll start again 10 mins later. The only thing that seems to help is laying him on us which obviously isn’t ideal for sleeping.
Any suggestions on anything to help? We’re using gripe water atm but not seeing a significant difference!
