She will literally just survive on snacks. She claims she 'doesnt like' any meals that are made for her. Its stressing me out. Even when I give her options she doesn't want anything unless its snacks. If I dont let her have a snack / treat theres a huge tantrum. I am a solo parent so its hard to manage by myself. Does anyone have tips for this too please?

My son is the same but will eat chips and pizza. But those are the only meals that arent a fight.
We have started the 2 bites method (at least thats what my mum calls it). They must eat 2 bites of whatever dinner is, then they get their choice of other food. Until those 2 bites are in and swallowed! They dont get their chosen food. [Obviosuly for foods they 100% dont like e.g. Brussels sprouts, this does not apply. I am talking about meals I know they eat because they have it at nursery with no issues]. We have also now escalated at time to removing all toys/screen time until those 2 bites are eaten to get him to cooperate, he is extremely willful. But as soon as he does he gets everything back as a reward, even if it had taken an hour to do it

Honestly we’ve basically had to stop the snacks (other than 2 snacks a day which she chooses in the morning and has at mid morning and mid afternoon). We offer a safe food that we know she will always eat alongside whatever we are eating and if she doesn’t eat anything that’s fine but when she is hungry later on she either gets what was offered earlier for dinner or she can have some toast

Most basic thing ever that I found works. I say “you need to have at least (number) spoonfuls”. She likes the game of it. We quickly go from “I don’t like” to counting. Then I challenge her - “try 3 more! And one for luck!” Etc
Does anybody else go for walks everyday with their baby? I sometimes I find it hard getting out when the weather cold..

The internet says around 3yo they start to form.
Last night, whilst my daughter was having her bath, she said 'mummy & daddy don't play with me...' to herself but I was in there with her & her dad was downstairs & heard her say it.
It made me incredibly sad as we do play with her - especially her dad.
I will hold my hands up & say that I'm terrible for using my phone when in her presence - especially after a long day at work where I just want to disassociate 🫣😫 but I do put it down when she wants my attention (her dad is guilty of this too).
I'm just worried that I've created a core memory for her that 'mum's always on her phone' 😫😭
I've asked Chat gpt for some activities I can do once she's back from nursery & I'm back from work & starting today, I'm leaving my phone upstairs whilst we do some of those activities together cuz I never wanna hear her sound so sad again 🥹
Anyone else been in a similar situation?

I honestly need to vent because I'm mentally and emotionally exhausted. 💔
I'm a mom trying to rebuild my life, and I feel like I can't even get a moment of peace. My daughter's father constantly comes to me with his problems, expects me to help him financially, and now wants me to help pay his rent. When I don't, he makes me feel guilty, as if I'm responsible for the position he's in.
What makes this situation even harder is that I'm struggling myself. I'm trying to get on my feet, provide for my daughter, figure out my living situation, and keep pushing forward despite everything I've been through. I'm not in a position where I can just take on someone else's financial responsibilities. I'm trying to survive and rebuild my own life.
But somehow, I'm made to feel like the bad person for saying no.
And it's not just the guilt. He constantly threatens me, too. It's emotionally draining to feel pressured to help someone while also being afraid of how they might react when you don't. I'm trying to move forward from this relationship, but it feels like I can't get free from the emotional pressure, the guilt, and the fear.
Sometimes I ask myself, how did I get here? Why do I feel responsible for someone else's decisions when I'm already carrying so much on my own? I know I need boundaries, but it's hard when the person putting you through this is your child's father.
I don't want to live in survival mode anymore. I want peace. I want to focus on my daughter, rebuild my life, and stop feeling like I have to save someone else at the expense of myself.
Has anyone else experienced this with their child's father? How did you deal with the guilt, the threats, and the feeling that you're still trapped in a situation you desperately want to move on from?
I'm not looking for judgment. I'm genuinely looking for advice and support from moms who have been through something similar. I just want to know I'm not alone. 🤍

We’re currently designing a wishlist for Xmas for our little one who is 7m old.
What sort of toys would you guys recommend for us?
Ideally things that help with development and things without batteries / flashing lights / music please!
We’ve already got megabloks, a ragdoll and musical instruments on the list 🎁
Thank you in advance!
