My son turned 3 at the start of August and since he turned 3 we have really struggled with his behaviour he has pushed at every boundary and sometimes he’s just genuinely not listening to us.
He started a new preschool 9 days ago and has also started a before and after school club that is attached to the nursery too. We have been called in for a meeting today to discuss my son’s speech clarity and they are saying they are struggling to understand some of the words he is saying. Which is fine, I’m happy for them to support him with that because I was worried about the clarity of some of his speech also.
But they have also mentioned that they think he has ADHD because he is very high energy which does get worse when he is tired. He is also doing unsafe things such as trying to drink water out of places he shouldn’t and sometimes he needs lots of reminders to not do something. They explained he’s struggling at group times with story time.
I explained that he has always been high energy and a physical little boy, and also explained that he is pushing a lot of boundaries at home and we are constantly having to repeat everything to him. I explained that I wasn’t worried about him having adhd but I just want some advice am I missing something could he have adhd?
The high energy does get worse when he is tired and he has been very tired lately, he’s been waking in the night and has just gotten over a sickness bug a few days before he started nursery.
They did also explain that he is the youngest child in class.

Hi all, does anyone have recommendations for a good nappy for nights? 3 month old is sleeping in good stretches but nappies can’t keep up. Tried Aldi and pampers and now on Sainsbury’s and they are great in day but not at night?! Thanks so much

My three month old cries before every nap. He’s fine in the night when fed to sleep, but before every single day nap there is 5-25 minutes of crying. We follow wake windows as best we can but it doesn’t seem to matter whether he’s awake one hour or three hours!
Did anyone else have this, and has come out the other side?

If your partner didn’t force you to go to bed at a certain time, but got annoyed if you went to bed before he was ready or wanted to stay down for longer when he wants to go to bed, would that be considered controlling? Seeing as there’s no forcing involved just getting annoyed by it?

Hey! I’m really interested to hear people’s thoughts/experiences with swaddling for newborns? I’ve heard it’s supposed to be great to keep them relaxed etc but also was told yesterday it’s not a method that they use anymore which is completely new to me!! Any thoughts?

My 6 week old has always slept generally well until about 4am when he starts grunting and crying etc in his sleep struggling with wind. It’s getting so bad he’s screaming in his sleep. We soothe him and then he’ll start again 10 mins later. The only thing that seems to help is laying him on us which obviously isn’t ideal for sleeping.
Any suggestions on anything to help? We’re using gripe water atm but not seeing a significant difference!
