Just bored with life..

I don’t wanna say I’m in a depressed state because I feel like that’s a serious issue, but I do feel very down.

Being a SAHM has made me so bored, I feel like I have no purpose other than just surviving each day with a preschooler and a toddler.
I don’t work, I can’t drive, I am not part of a community, don’t have friends.. and I don’t have families nearby that can take my kids so I can never have a break just for myself.

I just feel like everyone I know in my life has a purpose, has something to look forward to each day, but I don’t. I don’t have something that makes me look forward to the next day, or that keeps me excited.

I am trying to promote my small business but getting an audience is hard. So I’m very demotivated each day.

What kind of small business is it? Can you post on social media?

I’m in the same boat! I have my sister nearby so we do play dates with our kids and I also have a few friends with toddlers, but it doesn’t feel like enough. I’m bored of my life revolving around cooking, cleaning, and play dates. I’ve considered getting a full time job, but that would mean putting my toddler in daycare and I just can’t do that. I’d be anxious everyday wondering how he’s doing. So I just remind myself that this won’t last forever and that in a few years I’ll be out of this stage and I’ll probably miss all the time I had with my kids while they were this little.

Post on social media and be consistent about it! My sister took up sewing and posts to her IG and gets enough orders to keep her busy. I did Etsy before having my second one and it also kept me busy.

Nursery fees

Mums who have returned to work can I ask what you are paying for nursery fees.

I’m back to work part time.
Mon-Fri 4pm-9pm
He attends nursery 5 days a week, half day, but really I only need childcare from 3pm-6pm as my husband does pick up.
I’m currently paying close to £600 a month and only entitled to 15 hours of funding due to him attending half days.

I’m only paid £1200 a month and with the crazy nursery fees I was financially better off on stat maternity pay which is crazy!

anyone have a child minder who’s hours are more flexible? I don’t know really what I’m asking but I just know returning to work has stung financially.

Remote work

Does anyone know of any remote jobs going at the moment? I would love to work from home while caring for my son, but I’m also happy to use a nursery or childminder if needed 😊
