Baby no 2

I’m the same but terrified of giving birth a lot of people say it’s easier and say everytime
Is different but I think it’s a case of get pregnant and hope for the best

My first was a March 2023 baby I had an episiotomy, lost 1.8l of blood, they threatened if I didn’t push they would get the ventouse but that must have encouraged me enough to push even though I was out of it due to exhaustion very long labour, they didn’t believe my waters had broken so everything was rushed as soon as they discovered in fact they had broken 48 hours earlier like I said. My second was my November 2024 baby and honestly she was my easiest birth even though I needed stitches didn’t feel bad, I managed to give birth on only gas and air although you bet I was screaming for my epidural but never got it, but it was nice to have a normal birth without the episiotomy or haemorrhage. I had my third in March 2026 he just wasn’t ready to come when I was being induced but it wasn’t traumatic in the sense of my first birth, I didn’t ever tear or require stitches only grazed. I say he was stubborn because he was my only boy I’ve had 😂

My Nov24 baby was a very traumatic birth ending in emergency section, watching my baby get cpr, a nicu stay, my incision ripping open multiple times up to 10 weeks post partum, infections 🤢 just had my second 2 weeks ago and had a successful vbac and it was so healing 🥰 x

I can’t contribute as I’m very lucky that both my births were pretty smooth, but my friend who had her second little one recently had a much better birth and recovery this time round. First time round was episiotomy and forceps, recovery was hell and was in pain for weeks, second time round 1st degree tear and that’s it - everything else went smooth, she had a 9lb baby, and recovery is going really well and no issues x

I was in hospital for days after being induced with my first! I also had an episiotomy and labour went on for agessss! But second time around I was in the hospital for maybe a day and a half and I pushed him out in 16 minutes with a minor tear!x

I had the exact same as you on my first, very traumatic. 3 weeks ago had my second baby and it was a completely different birth - Baby was born without any interference, basically no tearing and less than 10 mins of pushing🩷 recovery also has been so much easier on this one!

I had an emergency c section with my first, very traumatic and told myself I’d never ever do it again.

Fast forward to now, I have a 12 day old and had an elective section - was absoloutely terrified the entire time but honestly it’s all old news now and so worth it for the outcome. Your brain makes you forget so much. The elective went so much better and I was much more in control x

My first born in January 2022, was traumatic. Had to use suction as he got stuck, then an episiotomy, then I had a haemorrhage, and had to have emergency surgery to stop the bleeding. I then had another baby November 2024 and was terrified! I gave birth in the same room as well, but my second was a dream. Was induced at 6pm, baby was in my arms by 1am, sent home with baby by 6pm same day no issues at all and I was up and about like nothing had happened the following day 😂 remember every birth is different! X
