2 YO child in daycare has accident…

they've got those really cheap packs of undies ... Cause 🤢 its way worse when it's cloth

If I were the daycare worker I would call and ask to make sure they don’t want to keep them because I would feel rude to throw them away without asking. But if I was the mom I would tell them just throw them away 😂

For some perspective cloth diapering exists. Meaning yes you can clean linens/underwear full of poop and it be 100% clean. When you’re handling poopy cloth diapers, you get as much solids in the toilet as possible, then do a quick wash with soap to get most of the rest out. I have oxyclean max force spray that I spray on any stubborn spots and put it in a bin with some water and oxyclean stain removing powder for a day or two before running it through the washer and this has taken care of any and all stains. My little girl is 1 and no staining.

You probably don’t need both stain removers but some baby poop can be pretty stubborn depending on the diet at the time so this is my standard system.

So yes, if you want to you can save it. And in case there are repeats and you don’t want to throw out too much underwear you might want to. If the poop part really grosses you out get some rubber gloves or whatever you may have for when you clean the toilet.

Depends how bad it is. If it's a fairly solid poop then it's not gonna be super messy, but if it's like liquidy I'm tossing that out.

Im a cloth mama who washed cloth diapers for 2yrs so some poop on undies is nbd to me. Plop what I can, rinse what I can, spray it w stain remover spray and it goes in the wash. Same as my period undies, they get rinsed in the shower and in basket to be washed. Nothing gets thrown out here they come out stain free, couldn’t even tell he pooped in it. I throw the holey ones out lol

Are you asking if the daycare should throw it away or wash it? Or if when the parent receives it in a bag at the end of the day they should throw it away or wash it? Cause that might change my answer

Whenever my daughter has had a poo accident at nursery, they do their best to clean the underwear and send them home with the rest of her dirty clothes.

The few times shes had a poo accident at home, I bin the underwear. Im already fighting for my life to get her cleaned up, I do not care about a pair of 50p pants. I told nursery that also to save them the hassle.
