My son can say a fair few word but I’ve noticed he doesn’t say them properly ( which sounds ridiculous as I know he’s only little still) but when he says “bye” it’s more “bah bah”. I met my friend the other day who has a little girl who is the same age and she says “bye bye” really clearly. Is it just one of the those things where he will eventually say things more clearly or do I need to emphasise the letters more?
No worries or concerns, just wondering and noticed the difference!
Think I’m more conscious of it as I had speech therapy when I was little but that was more to do with having two loud older siblings and not being able to get a word in edge ways 🤣 so didn’t talk much

my son is exactly the same, He says “no” like norrr with a Northern accent 🤣 which is strange because we live down south lol x

Its completely normal! My son has about 30 words to him but the only clear ones are more, door, ball and up. Everything else is just sounds. Blue, bath, bird, bin and bu are all ba sounds currently. Pull is pu, bottle is bop.
My now 4yo only had 2 words at 17 months. She was assessed but deemed as okay at 23 months because she had great understanding but only 10 words. At 26 months she had over 100.
I have learned babies ate all different and do things on their own terms! X

The fact he's saying words is amazing. He's communicating. There are 2 types of delays, speech (pronunciation of words) and language (saying words even if they sound incorrect). Any language delays would be addressed as a preschooler but any speech delays would be addressed when a child is older. When they start to learn phonics, this helps. Please don't worry. Your boy has words and this is great. My 17 month old says all sorts of words unclear. In fact, not a single word is the correct pronunciation. But she's saying words and communicating with us. My nephew didn't really start attempting any words till he was 2. But he was walking at 10 months. My daughters been saying words for months, but she's only just started walking. They are all different. Not a speech therapist but a SENCO. A speech and language therapist in Kent wouldn't even see you until your child was much older which shows they're not worried. Just repeat back the word and model language.
What the fuck is that.
Looks like no seat belt, just some bar thing, and a kid that’s small enough to be rear facing in a forward only car seat?? Someone tell me there’s more to this and it’s not as crazy as it looks

Why are we having to pay extra for seats?! I really can't afford to add any more on to the expense. So I'm going to check in, and hope we are next to each other. We are a family of 5, 2 adults and 3 children.
How likely is it that we will be split - and staff care enough to give seats together? Please let me know if this has happened to anyone. I really can't be adding £300 more just for tickets.

When it comes to our late afternoon and evening feeds, we seem to hit the same problem; he just won’t unlatch! Baby boy is 5 weeks and will just chew on my nipple, I assume to soothe, and if I ever try to take him off he screams. He’ll even be falling asleep and still hates it, and then won’t sleep at all!
Any one experienced something similar and know how to work around this? I’m sore and need a small bit of my evenings back!

How do I stop a man snoring so I can actually sleep for once please. If he goes to sleep first I am fucked essentially. I’m so fed up I’m exhausted. He’s so loud it’s concerning but the doctor just keeps saying take antihistamines 😭😭😭 yeah we’ve tried them dumb nose strips and all that stuff. Im also pregnant so the exhaustion is just hitting extra hard, I can’t cope with my toddler on one hour of sleep again after he’s left for work😭

Can anyone share how you sleep trained your babies without letting them cry it out? My LO is currently almost 5 months but absolutely refuses to fall asleep on his crib on his own.

To my surprise my period came back today!😭 Little bit concerned as I’m only 8 weeks post c-section and my baby is breastfed other than 2 feeds at 8pm and 12pm. Has anyone else got their period back yet? I was expecting another good few months!
