After school routine

What is everyone's after school routine?
My son has started reception (he's 4). We get home at about 3:30 which for me is basically morning 😂 when he was in nursery he would come home at 6 so it was easy - dinner then bed.

I've been letting him watch a bit of TV but I don't really want him watching TV all afternoon. That's what we did as kids 😂

We get home 4ish so he has a snack and watches a bit of tv until dinner. Then after dinner is no screens so we play board games, read books, do homework etc until 7.30 when we start the bedtime routine.

We have a an hour on the park get home for 4 get out of uniform have independent play/film while I start sorting tea teah is usually 5/530 depending on what's cooking/cooking time bed at 7

Could you do different board / card games together ?

Is there a sport or extra curricular he can do after some days of school?

We play games, play in the garden or do low key colouring or stickers and books. Rosie and Jim, vintage 30 years old now, is still just lovely non stimulating and wholesome if you want TV.

Post natal depression sorry it’s long

Has anybody else not only had postnatal depression, but thought they would get it even before giving birth?

I’m 36 weeks pregnant at the moment and with this pregnancy and my first one I’ve had a lot of mental instability I’ve had anxiety attacks, panic attacks, feelings that I don’t deserve to have a baby after we had a termination five years ago, I have intrusive thoughts, nightmares at night about hurting the baby, dropping the baby and comments from my partner that he doesn’t want the baby that I forced him into having our second.
I just feel like because he hasn’t been interested in this pregnancy he’s done literally nothing to help me and we do have a bit of a rocky relationship. I already feel so overwhelmed and ignored and stressed and depressed and I’m just getting into my head now that I won’t be able to connect with this new baby all this experience it just made me think it was a mistake and we haven’t done the right thing. I want this baby more than anything a little boy after we’ve had a girl I just feel myself spiralling into this hole and yeah, I’ve got good support around me and I’ve got friends and family that live close but I just feel like this baby is gonna arrive and I’m just gonna feel so down and disconnected and I won’t be able to be a good mum I feel like I’ve just checked out mentally at the moment. And I feel really guilty knowing this baby will be here in a few weeks.

Car seats

What the fuck is that.
Looks like no seat belt, just some bar thing, and a kid that’s small enough to be rear facing in a forward only car seat?? Someone tell me there’s more to this and it’s not as crazy as it looks

Sleep regression

Hate to be this person as I see so many babies/mamas on here being affected by this sleep regression but my baby is 20 weeks on Thursday and so far, we haven’t really struggled with nighttime sleep, she sleeps through and has done since 10 weeks. We are only really struggling with daytime naps (being super short). Has the nighttime sleep regression been delayed for any one else? Or have I just got really lucky?

Are your little ones walking?

Just wondering if most September babies are walking. We’re on holiday and so many people have commented on my just turned 1 year old walking, which I didn’t expect, I thought 12 months was average age for walking, his older brother walked at pretty much exactly 12 months too
