I haven’t started yet however I’ve done research, everything I’ve come across says to introduce vegetables first for a few weeks before introducing fruit as they’re more likely to reject the vegetables if you start on fruit or do it at the same time.
Avocado is a good one to start with! X

Ella’s cookbook is very helpful and breaks down by month - if you have the Boots app you might be able to pick up a free copy next time you’re in store (it should be showing in offers section)

The app “BLW meals” helped me so much! It tells you what foods you can give your little one and how to prep it in both traditional and BLW ways.
If you can, try starting with veggies for a while before fruits to avoid aversions. Another way to avoid aversions is to be as emotionally neutral as possible when they are trying the new foods / textures
the baby’s expressions mean they’re learning, not disgusted lol
And don’t stress about getting a perfect amount/ routine down right away, milk is most of their diet still! Beginner solids portions are usually a spoonful per day
Cleanup was half of my stress.
1. It gets easier.
2. This seat on Amazon saves a lot of the work - I set it on our table and wiping up food from there is way easier than the floor

I gave her steak at the restaurant, to try. She was in love. But then I just started her off with avocado toast, yogurt, porridge, berries. They say to introduce allergens early, I gave egg, she was mildly allergic to it and still is so I don't try my luck there anymore. Peanut butter was good, fish good. I made chicken pot pie soup and blended that, she was in love. She's 10 months now, she eats what I eat, just smaller portions. Any milk is still their main source of food, so don't stress about the amount they eat, it's all just for fun at that age, they learning how to eat and all the textures. They will sometimes eat really good and sometimes not a bite, don't worry it comes and goes.

I say no matter what make sure to always give iron . Even now I give my 13 month old baby cereal

Foods that you eat, just prepared appropriately. You can also make your own purees, it's super easy. Just avoid pouches and prepared baby food as much as possible - it's convenient, but it's way more expensive and they're often loaded with sugar. Solid starts is pretty good for how to prepare foods, but use your own judgement - if you don't feel comfortable giving something, then don't give it until you feel more comfortable.
Don't worry about baby developing a "preference" for fruits - fruits are important, they have loads of nutrients and antioxidants. Babies already have a natural preference for sweet things, and breast milk is naturally sweet, so giving veggies first won't prevent any preferences for sweet flavours. That's a very common myth.

My first advice? Pause. Make sure your baby is READY. Are they bringing hands to mouth? Sitting up with support? Showing interest in food? If yes to all three, order the solid starts book or check out their app.
The priorities are iron, introducing allergens, and supporting baby explore foods in a developmentally appropriate way. The first food doesn’t matter. At all. Just make sure to isolate and rule out the common allergens, keep them in the diet, and introduce as many flavors, textures, and variety as possible. Of course limit salt, but otherwise serve whatever you eat safely prepared for their development :) solids starts offers great advice for what this looks pole

The doc in the video said I think Avacado

Vegetables first. Introduce one at a time, then add to that. I started in the morning, in case of allergies.
So I’ve come downstairs from settling our LO to sleep and start talking about putting in an extra nap during the day and moving bedtime later as LO has been foul the last 3 nights…… please tell me why my other half starts talking about his grass and I let him know I’m not interested and I don’t care so he asks why and I said I have more pressing stuff going on that takes priority over admiring the grass and the audacity of this man he comes out with “it’s not that hard” and I say what and he says “being a mother”………. I nearly hit the roof, not once in 15 weeks has this man settled our LO at night time and he’s done 2 just 2 midnight feeds and woke me during them…… I would love for this man to try “being the mother” and then tell me it’s not hard…… I genuinely feel like a single parent with a partner 😮💨

Okay so my daughter is 5 and autistic she rides the bus home from school and wears a built in harness you know okay so her normal bus was down and they put her on an alternate they forgot to tell him that she was in a strap and that I’d be there at the stop so when he came he let all the other kids off then pulled off with her still on the bus. I freaked out called the school and got 3 different answers as to what to do next then when I asked to speak with someone who knew more they tried to say it was because I wasn’t there on time once I corrected her TWICE she finally decides to call transportation. Well I call them myself and they also give me the run around it’s “well they might just bring her back” “we’ll have to find her” “just wait for us to call you back” “be more visible at the bus stop” so I amped and cussed everyone out I’m like this is a FIVE YEAR OLD we’re talking about. So the man at transportation hangs up on me when I said that wasn’t acceptable and I called the police because no one could tell me anything….. once the police called them the bus immediately turned around and brought her back to the stop. I asked the driver what happened and he said “I didn’t know she was on here the other kids were too loud” so I emailed the school and said to just put her back in the car rider line. My mom said I jumped the gun pulling her from the bus. But I was literally terrified.

My son has recently started nursery and their outdoor play area is just wooden pallete and planks of wood and tires to climb on.
They have some bits built up to climb on but just planks and pallets balancing on tires, nothing professionally built or put together properly and it goes quite high (5ft) without any barrier or anything to hold onto.
I think they're trying to lean into risky play and allowing the kids to be independent but they don't have any normal play structures..
Maybe I worry too much but my son isn't very agile. I also worry about splinters and possible nails? I know they've probably checked over the wood but I can't be sure.

I am so curious what motivates parents to buy these for their teens? I have without exaggeration never once seen a teen responsibly riding these in my area. They are doing wheelies, speeding, weaving in and out of traffic, dodging cars in parking lots, I’ve even had kids try and knock over my stroller with them as I’m walking with my babies.
With so many accidents of kids being hit by cars and injured or worse. I’m genuinely wondering why parents are purchasing these for their kids? It’s completely within your control to not give them these bikes so why do you chose or not chose to?

I have 3 babies
Two not his
One his
I've noticed on the way out the door everytime he will say ily INO🌸 OUR BABY
But will absolutely say nothing to my other babies.
IDC about myself cause he's never really shown me much affection and I've become numb.
I say ILY to all my babies when I leave
Simply put it they let have stopped responding to him when ever he attempts to say bye as of late. (Whenever he remembers they are there)
He just did it again and I caught the biggest attitude. I became very annoyed with him and just kinda went off on him.
Hes like I say bye completely ignoring everything I said to him. He really thought him saying bye every once in a while was my issue. Then tried to tell me i was to sensitive and that not everyone is like my family where they say ily all the time.
I legit went on an emotional let down rage fit cause IDC how he treats me anymore but to start dismissing my other two cause of our daughter is wrong. (Btw theirs a whole lot more mixed in is why I went off) this was just the trigger.
I told him to get out and don't come back till you can love all my kids. Yes I locked him out he has no key right now (he has a car)

I don’t know if my husband and I are going to last. Before having kids we both talked about how it would be and our beliefs and all the convos you’re supposed to have. Now after having kids everything changed. His beliefs changed on how things should be done, he doesn’t help at all, and we argue all the time. I don’t want to get divorced but I just can’t live like this forever. Anyone else go through something similar and have advice?
