AITAH- Partner says ILY

I have 3 babies
Two not his
One his
I've noticed on the way out the door everytime he will say ily INO🌸 OUR BABY
But will absolutely say nothing to my other babies.
IDC about myself cause he's never really shown me much affection and I've become numb.
I say ILY to all my babies when I leave
Simply put it they let have stopped responding to him when ever he attempts to say bye as of late. (Whenever he remembers they are there)

He just did it again and I caught the biggest attitude. I became very annoyed with him and just kinda went off on him.
Hes like I say bye completely ignoring everything I said to him. He really thought him saying bye every once in a while was my issue. Then tried to tell me i was to sensitive and that not everyone is like my family where they say ily all the time.
I legit went on an emotional let down rage fit cause IDC how he treats me anymore but to start dismissing my other two cause of our daughter is wrong. (Btw theirs a whole lot more mixed in is why I went off) this was just the trigger.

I told him to get out and don't come back till you can love all my kids. Yes I locked him out he has no key right now (he has a car)

Girl… this comes across as very teenage.

1) it’s understandable he’s more affectionate to his own child, your forever person would love all your children equally like my stepdad did me but some people aren’t ready to father other peoples children and that’s something you need to consider when deciding if this person is the person you are supposed to spend your life with

2) the fact you are dismissive of him not treating you right, (you haven’t said what he does that’s really bad but I’ll take your word for it) what are you doing? That’s not how a relationship should be, it’s clearly not working anymore so you should go your separate ways

3) rage fits and locking him out etc it’s all just too much drama and chaos for kids to be exposed to, I think it’s time to calmly say this relationship has run its course let’s go our separate ways and he can see his baby if he is a good father

I think the issue is that this wasn’t corrected and addressed before you had a child with him. For it to be brought up now I can see why he doesn’t get it. For him nothings changed.

I see the problem with it and understand your frustration with it but I think one part of it is also on you (please don’t be mad at me) for allowing it to go ok like this for so long unchecked.

I think a better solution to this than locking him out would be family counseling. So that he can learn from a counselor why what he’s doing doesn’t feel good for the other kiddos and also so that you can learn new ways of communicating your feelings with out waiting until they come out explosively. I hope this is taken with love and helpfulness and not with a mean or bad connotation. ā¤ļøā¤ļø

As someone that grew up with a stepfather he was amazing with me till he had his own kids with my mother then our relationship was utterly shit i hated him for years and i fell out with my mother feeling he always chose her, moved out early too, its only now since miving back into the area do i talk to him now and again at family gatherings now he has no control over my life, ive mived on but i wont forget how shit it felt not being apart of the family

So i dont think you did wrong, you cant force someone to love kids that arent theres but if they chose you knowing you had kids then they choose your babys too if you feel numb then theres no point keeping a lovless relashionship especially if it can be effecting your other kids

Would appreciate some opinions on this nursery situation.

Was I rude ? Or was the nursery staff member rude?

My 3-year-old came home from nursery on Friday with a red bump behind her ear. When I asked what happened, she told me that another boy hit her with a toy car and also hit her on her back.

I messaged the nursery and said:

ā€œAlso just wanted to say that when my daughter came home from nursery on Friday, I noticed she had a bump behind her ear and was red. I asked her what happened, and she said another boy hit her with a toy car and also hit her on her back.

I appreciate that children can have accidents in nursery and it’s impossible to eliminate everything, but I was concerned as it was on her head.

I would also appreciate if you could supervise their interactions a little more closely, particularly given the previous concerns we discussed about my daughter feeling uncomfortable around the same child and the child being rough with her before the summer break.

I know children will have disagreements and accidents, but would like to make sure my daughter feels safe and that any incidents are picked up and communicated to me.ā€

The teacher replied:

ā€œOK mum I was with her for most of the day on Friday and not once did her and the other child be near each other.ā€

How would you interpret the nursery’s response? Do you think the teacher is simply saying that she personally didn’t witness them together, or does it come across as dismissing what my daughter told me? And was my original message reasonable, or did I come across as accusing the nursery/child?

Disney mamas? 🐭✨

I’d love to find a Disney bestie to take our little ones on rides with! 🄰 I have a 3 year old daughter and a 13 month old son! We go at least once a week, usually on weekends. If you’re a Disney mama too, I’d love to meet up! šŸ’•

How much does partner help you

If you’re a stay at home mom or wife whose kids are in school all day what do you expect husband/partner to
help with if anything? My husband works a lot with his job so I don’t want to be ungrateful but I am genuinely curious to see how spouses break up responsibilities in the household. All my kids are currently in school. I do have a job at night but it’s part time and very easy so it’s not burning me out and I do get to sleep as it’s home health but during the day I mostly have time to myself.

Is he joking

So I’ve come downstairs from settling our LO to sleep and start talking about putting in an extra nap during the day and moving bedtime later as LO has been foul the last 3 nights…… please tell me why my other half starts talking about his grass and I let him know I’m not interested and I don’t care so he asks why and I said I have more pressing stuff going on that takes priority over admiring the grass and the audacity of this man he comes out with ā€œit’s not that hardā€ and I say what and he says ā€œbeing a motherā€ā€¦ā€¦ā€¦. I nearly hit the roof, not once in 15 weeks has this man settled our LO at night time and he’s done 2 just 2 midnight feeds and woke me during them…… I would love for this man to try ā€œbeing the motherā€ and then tell me it’s not hard…… I genuinely feel like a single parent with a partner šŸ˜®ā€šŸ’Ø

What's the problem? 🤨

People in my life act as though as I'm not doing enough as a mother and wife or that I'm putting too much on my husband. I'm a SAHM and my husband works full time and we have two kids. He either does our grocery shopping alone, takes one of our kids, or we all go together as a family. If just one of our kids have a doctor appointment he will take them on his own and I'll stay home with the other kid. He does laundry, he picks up rooms, he vacuums, he wipes things down, he does dishes, he cooks, and I do these things as well. He plays with our kids, teaches them, does bath time, does bedtime routines, and so do I.

I'm frequently finding people feel bad for my husband when they hear about all that he does. Most of the time it's women telling me they feel bad for him and giving me unsolicited advice on what I can do to make life easier for him. Am I truly not doing enough in my role or is this an issue of gender roles and stereotypes? Or possibly even jealousy?

Did I overreact? Or would you have done the same ? (Long post I’m sorry)

Okay so my daughter is 5 and autistic she rides the bus home from school and wears a built in harness you know okay so her normal bus was down and they put her on an alternate they forgot to tell him that she was in a strap and that I’d be there at the stop so when he came he let all the other kids off then pulled off with her still on the bus. I freaked out called the school and got 3 different answers as to what to do next then when I asked to speak with someone who knew more they tried to say it was because I wasn’t there on time once I corrected her TWICE she finally decides to call transportation. Well I call them myself and they also give me the run around it’s ā€œwell they might just bring her backā€ ā€œwe’ll have to find herā€ ā€œjust wait for us to call you backā€ ā€œbe more visible at the bus stopā€ so I amped and cussed everyone out I’m like this is a FIVE YEAR OLD we’re talking about. So the man at transportation hangs up on me when I said that wasn’t acceptable and I called the police because no one could tell me anything….. once the police called them the bus immediately turned around and brought her back to the stop. I asked the driver what happened and he said ā€œI didn’t know she was on here the other kids were too loudā€ so I emailed the school and said to just put her back in the car rider line. My mom said I jumped the gun pulling her from the bus. But I was literally terrified.
