Ladies need help pls..due our second child early Oct currently over 38 weeks. Having a growth scan next Tuesday but since 9:55 this morning been feeling this dull pain in my lower back and bum cheeks, got some pain down my legs and pressure in my crotch and it hasn't stopped. Sorry TMI but I also had some diarrhea earlier. I was induced due to gestational diabetes with my first born so this the first time dealing with possible signs of labour naturally. Going to call hospital if stomach cramps start..Just want to know if it's worth being seen just to be safe. Also want to add that I went for a small walk with my partner last night and I felt a trickle but when I checked my pad it smelt slightly like urine so I don't know if it was a water break or not. Plus no sign of my plug yet either.

Hey, it sounds like your body's preparing for labour and nothing you're saying sounds concerning to me (but I'm no medical professional!). I can completely understand the anxiety and excitement of whether or not you're experiencing signs of labour.
For content, I'm almost 37 weeks with my second. My first came at almost 40 weeks and I'd been feeling off for several weeks. I'm talking mild period like cramps for at least 6 weeks, crazy sciatica that had me hobbling everywhere, pressure on my bladder, very loose stools, and so on.
I personally always keep an eye on symptoms and timings, just in case there's a pattern emerging. E.g. with the discharge, you can pop on a pad/liner and see if it fills up quicker than normal for you. And if you feel unsure about anything, feel free to just call up triage for their thoughts.
Btw even after having one spontaneous labour, I'm still not sure whether I'm in early labour now! 😂 I rang my triage the other day to ask about some pressure and cramps I'd been feeling.
I need the mamas that have had a c section done. I’m done having kids after this baby (I’ll have two after this one is born) my 2 year old was a vaginal birth. I’m tryna weigh out the pros and cons on having a c section. I wanna know your experiences, how long you were in the hospital for, what your recovery time was before you felt physically “normal” again like had no pain. Now I understand everybody is different with healing and pain tolerance. I just wanna get everyone’s opinion. Also if I were to have a c section would they do the tubal ligation right then and there or would I have to come back to get it done.

Hey. I was just thinking. What is considered as reduced movement? Assuming you normally feel your baby move 5 times a day. If they moved just 2 times on one day, 4 times the next, once the following day but next to 5 the day after. Is that reduced movement or irregular movement? At what point exactly do you call triage?

This is my second and am so nervous as when and where my waters might break. With my first I was induced and they broke my waters. I know it’s not always like the movies where it’s the big gush but it still makes me so nervous. What if am out, or at toddler group or nursery run or something 🥲 I would hate to be in a public place and people end up making a fuss 😣 I know am over thinking all of this but I can’t help it!

Can real labour contractions just start close together instead of being far apart and at inconsistent times to start then getting close???
I’m 37 +2 and I’ve had braxton hicks for weeks but just started having contractions about 20 minutes ago I’ve had 5 so far and haven’t timed them as of but they are a lot more intense and low down and I need to breathe through them. I’ve had no waters break idk if I’m just overthinking
