Gestational Diabetes

Do you eat meat? Meat and fish will be your best friend right now as well as cheese and eggs etc. look into low carb diets or ask chat gpt for ideas x

I got diagnosed with late onset GD today and when i've looked into the diet it was quite similar to the diet i followed when i was training. My go to snacks are:
1. Kallo Lentil protein cakes with cottage cheese
2. Greek yoghurt with berries and seeds
3. Wholewheat crackers or oatcakes with a slice of cheese
4. Celery and peanut butter or humous

Lunches:
1. Omlette with veg and cheese
2. Homemade chicken and veg soup
3. Wholemeal wrap with hot smoked salmon/cold smoked salmon, salad and cream cheese

Dinners:
1. Fish, sweet potato and veg
2. Lean beef stir fry with brown rice
3. Wholewheat pasta with tuna, mayo, red onion and sweetcorn

I had Greek yogurt and some granola for breakfast one morning and was surprised how much it helped bring it down!
