So this a little bit of a rant but also want to see what others think. I had a C-section because I was induced (had gestational doctor told me I basically had no option of induction). The induction was super stressful lasted almost 3 whole days. I was 6cm dilated by day 1 lasted 2 days with no progression. Baby was never in distress but because they broke my water and I didn’t want to stay in the hospital for longer I ended up in a C-section. I got told by the surgeon I could try for a natural delivery next pregnancy and to wait a year to get pregnant again. Fast forward to now I’m 19 weeks pregnant different hospital and OB. At my initial appointment OB said she was fine with me trying for a VBAC. I go into my appointment today and ask about my delivery because I am trying to get a doula covered for the birth just to get told the hospital doesn’t allow VBACS and so it’s not an option. I wish they would have told me then and not halfway through my pregnancy now I’m extremely stressed because I feel like the choice is being taken away from me just like my last pregnancy. I’m stuck trying to find a different OB mid pregnancy that will take my insurance or going into a birthing house that only does unmedicated labor which I don’t even know if I can because of my prior C-section. I’m so frustrated and angry at this heath care system that does not care about mothers everything is done to save their asses and fuck what happens to the patient. Sorry for long post just needed to get it out.

Mannnnn. I’m sorry 😣
You fully deserve to rant and then some!
I hope everything works out for you 🫶🏻

I feel your frustration with our health care system! Its completely fucked all around!! Im so sorry you are dealing with this. I hope it will lead you to finding the right doctor and have a healthy delivery

You’ll need to fire that doctor and switch to a provider affiliated with a better hospital that actually practices modern day medicine and isn’t so profit driven.
I switched providers in my third trimester. It was scary but what’s scarier is not fully trusting your care team.
I’m 37 weeks with my second baby. First baby was a vaginal birth (not a good experience in honesty but that’s a story for another day!), but this baby is breech and has been for at least 10 weeks 🫠 So I’m facing the potential of needing an elective section.
I am trying to come to terms with it, but my biggest worry is the spinal. Does anyone have any positive c section stories - especially any reassurance about the spinal is welcomed 🙏
Photo just so I don’t get lost 😊

Had midwife appointment today, baby is 3/5 engaged! Currently 38+3. Hoping she comes soon but I know it doesn't really mean a lot 😂
Have a sweep booked in next week if nothing happens before. Never had one before so feel a bit nervous for it, whats it like? Does it work? I've heard conflicting things but hoping to get baby out before due date to avoid c-section!
3rd baby if that makes any difference 🤷♀️ 1st was born 40+1 spontaneous labour, 2nd was c section, so hoping for vbac this time round 🤞🏻 however have agreed to repeat section if i hit due date and nothing has happened.

not sure if it’s braxton hicks or just super slow & prolonged contractions. they’re not super painful just uncomfortable. I do get a hard belly during the cramping. the cramping only lasts a few minutes tbf then won’t really come back until next day. my braxton hicks have never been painful or uncomfortable, don’t think it is braxton hicks but idk🤷♀️did this happen to anyone else leading up to labour? is this happening to you now?

So my baby is due October 12th but I’m wanting him to be born September 29th bc that’s my great grandmas birthday. I’ve heard amazing stories about her but she passed away before I was even thought of. And I’d think it’d be so adorable if he was born on her birthday. It’s not due to the fact of me being impatient I just feel that would be very wholesome. I hope I’m not a bad mom for thinking this…
