Looking for positive c section stories 🙏

I had a c section in 2022 as my baby was breech. I’d had a rough pregnancy and low fluid towards the end so didn’t go for ECV. I actually had a great experience with a c section. I found it really organised and it really put me at ease. The spinal wasn’t bad at all, once you’re in the right position i didn’t hurt at all (the worst part was the anaesthetist has stuck the sterile drape on my hair so it pulled when he took it off 😂)
I did feel a bit panicky once I was laid down and knew it was starting but this was short lived and once baby was out after about 10 minutes it was fine, took them a while to stitch back up etc but I had that time with my baby so it was all good.
Recovery wasn’t as bad as people say, I was walking around that evening and properly out walking again in a few days.
Overall I would say it was a lovely experience and I wouldn’t change it. I’m having another this time if baby doesn’t come sooner (next Monday).

I’m in same situation first baby and breech waiting for elective c section date- I have found watching positive elective c section videos online really helpful there is quiet a few on you tube.

I just had my 2nd c section ( first was emergency) and I have to say the elective was actually alright. I was terrified of everything but I’d say the worst bit was having the cannula put in as the first few attempts didn’t work. The spinal was fine, didn’t hurt at all. They put a plastic sticky sheet on my back before they did it and ripping it off was the second worse thing!
Honestly I am the biggest wimp going and if I had to do it all over again tomorrow I wouldn’t be scared at all. The recovery is much easier this time around too.
The most important thing is to keep on top of your pain relief (I took my own in as the wards are always so busy)
And move around little and often. Happy to answer any questions!
