Wanting a VBAC
Hiya ladies I’m currently 39 weeks and 4 days I have opted for a VBAC I had my first child last year in April
I was hopeful for a VBAC at the beginning of this second pregnancy as baby is not breech this time round however as I’m getting close to my due date as well as being in the early labour phase for the last 2 weeks and still stuck at 2cm I’m becoming worried as I’ve been told if I go to 41 weeks they may have to induce me but there are risks of scar rupture leading to an emergency c section anyway.
Today it’s really been sitting on my mind as I’ve been in and out of hospital recently with pains but no progress in dilation so it’s really making me out way my options for a VBAC, hence was wondering if anyone has any positive induction stories after having a c section xz

Your not in active labour so please don’t judge the fact your not dialiting on that. Early labour or “prodomal labour” isn’t active. The fact you’re at 2cm already is good!
I went from 2-10cm in an hour once I was in active labour. That was also with an induction!

it just the whole scar rupture thing worries me.
Personally, I would refuse the induction and if labour hadn't started by the time you want it to, id request planned c section, inductions are risky anyway and there is greater risk of uterine rupture and id hate to have another emergency c section !
thank you so much ladies xx i have a midwife appointment on Tuesday and I’m hoping she offers me a sweep as it may encourage my waters to break where I’m already dilated and my wall thickness is 1cm I’m thinking if by 40weeks and 4 days I don’t go into active labour I may just ask for a c section then

VBAC denial because hospital doesn’t want to take the risk
So this a little bit of a rant but also want to see what others think. I had a C-section because I was induced (had gestational doctor told me I basically had no option of induction). The induction was super stressful lasted almost 3 whole days. I was 6cm dilated by day 1 lasted 2 days with no progression. Baby was never in distress but because they broke my water and I didn’t want to stay in the hospital for longer I ended up in a C-section. I got told by the surgeon I could try for a natural delivery next pregnancy and to wait a year to get pregnant again. Fast forward to now I’m 19 weeks pregnant different hospital and OB. At my initial appointment OB said she was fine with me trying for a VBAC. I go into my appointment today and ask about my delivery because I am trying to get a doula covered for the birth just to get told the hospital doesn’t allow VBACS and so it’s not an option. I wish they would have told me then and not halfway through my pregnancy now I’m extremely stressed because I feel like the choice is being taken away from me just like my last pregnancy. I’m stuck trying to find a different OB mid pregnancy that will take my insurance or going into a birthing house that only does unmedicated labor which I don’t even know if I can because of my prior C-section. I’m so frustrated and angry at this heath care system that does not care about mothers everything is done to save their asses and fuck what happens to the patient. Sorry for long post just needed to get it out.

Very very far from my birth plan, however very grateful to have her here safe and sound! So in love!

When did you get out/leave the house after a c section?
What did you do? Please only included pre planned trips out of the house. For example, a walk or a trip to the shop.
I am 1 week post emergency c section and not sure when to get out and about. Feeling okay but I don’t want to overdo it too soon.

Boy name suggestions?
I have a name chosen if baby is a girl but no idea if it’s a boy! Big sister is called Isolde, any suggestions? It would need to be a similar vibe - traditional but unusual (the name Isolde has Celtic roots and is from the Arthurian legend Tristan and Isolde).
