I'm 35 weeks and I had my midwife appointment yesterday and she discussed if I had a birth plan yet? I said no just going with the flow...

I didn’t have a birth plan with my first and I haven’t with my second. Going with the flow is the best option most people’s birth plans don’t go to plan anyway and then you end up disappointed x

My birth plan with my daughter was ‘get the baby out’. This time around I’ll specify types of pain relief I’d prefer: start with gas and air, pethidine if needed. I’m going to state that I’d preferably avoid a c-section, that I don’t mind having the injection to get my placenta out, and that I want one golden hour of skin to skin and will attempt to latch baby. Other than those things, the plan will still be ‘get the baby out’ 😂

Honestly, I think with the current rates of birth trauma and disappointment in maternity services, you're best off doing some research and coming up with some preferences rather than going in blind and going with the flow.
Think about what types of pain relief you might like, they have different effects and side effects. Some are short acting and reversible, some aren't.
Think about whether you'd like continuous monitoring, is there the option for mobile monitoring etc.
If you want the injection to get your placenta out, if you want vitamin k for baby, if you want golden hour, breastfeeding and skin to skin etc.
It's not a plan like "I'm going to do this followed by this then the baby will come", it's more thinking about things that will help get you in the right head space to be able to cope and enjoy your labour and the delivery of your baby

My midwife never worked on my birth plan with me, in the uk this is very much an activity you drive - and even then going into labor no one even asked - you have to advocate for yourself and what you want.
Just got diagnosed early - 18 weeks 😩
Looking for your go to lunches & dinners, snacks, & sweet treats! My doctor doesn’t want me going keto so suggested making substitutions for whole grain pasta/bread/etc. Any tips welcome!
I have such a big sweet tooth, especially during pregnancy.

I am 35 weeks 3 days. When I wake up in the night, I have bad pelvic girdle pain and lower abdomen pain. I find when I walk round it settles. Does anyone else have this?

Mamas, I’d love to hear how you’re planning to celebrate your little one’s first birthday! 🥹🎈
I’m starting to think about my baby’s 1st birthday and would love some ideas whether you’re planning a big party, a small gathering, a cute little outing, a cake smash, or something totally different!
Also, if you’re in the Westwood area and your little one is turning 1 around the same time, maybe we can celebrate together! 🎉 It could be so fun for the babies to have a little first-birthday celebration together and for us moms to meet too. 💕

I'm so happy that my son is finally here at 40 weeks and 4 days. His name is Aiden 💙💚 I almost had him at home! I felt his water sac coming out of me and we had to rush to the hospital. Little did I know I was already 8 cm when I got checked in. When it was time to push it only took 6 pushes! I'm soo in love and happy ☺️
Anyone else have a crazy birth story?

Are yall still changing your baby’s on a changing table? Mine is almost 4 months old and starting to use her legs to push off and slide backwards. If we don’t watch carefully she can essentially kick herself off the table😅. But like what do I do now? Usually I change her diaper then go wash my hands then come back and get her dressed but realizing that I shouldn’t leave her side anymore (she doesn’t roll quite yet). What are yall doing? What is the next transition? (The changing table is on our dresser FYI).
