Driving

I am 34 weeks been doing lessons throughout my whole pregnancy finding it harder and harder the bigger I get obviously but my instructor has been great especially with my emotions etc but my driving test is booked for next Wednesday I kinda just want to get it over and done with if I pass great if I fail I can always try once I've had baby etc

I can drive safely and I'm somewhat confident but my nerves are getting to me I'll be 35 weeks when I do my test I'm already uncomfortable but that doesn't really mean much I'm always uncomfortable at this stage who isn't lol but I'm stressed that my baby brain is going to forget something so stupid to make me fail if that makes any sense I really want to pass I'm 23 with 2 other kids and no one else in my household that drives we've been relying on my dad and he's been driving my car as his is broken but I would like to be able to put this behind me and move forward

Has anyone been in this situation before ? If so how did you handle it ?

I've been doing lessons too, currently 33 weeks, it has gotten more uncomfortable especially on my last lesson she was sticking her feet right up in my ribs. I couldn't get a test in until January so I'm anxious about having a newborn around that time and being hormonal and tired! I say go for it and smash out that driving test! Ignore the discomfort and just get it done. Don't be anxious, even if you don't manage to pass it make a silly mistake you can always rebook it! Good luck🩷

Good luck to you, try to stay calm, I think the examiners will understand and hopefully have a little empathy and really should be able to tell what is a genuine forget or an actual lack of knowledge, my experience with examiners (I've done 4 practical driving tests in my life for different vehicle types) is that they're generally not out to get you, they are humans too and they will hopefully be understanding of your situation. That being said, don't rest all of your hopes on passing, you don't need additional pressure or stress on yourself or baby, you'll get there at some point and you will be ok without it before then as well ❤️😊

My mum passed at 8 month pregnant with me. She said she felt like her baby brain gave her a break that day. It sounds like you know what you're doing. Also, if you instructor didnt belive you could do it, they wouldn't encourage it. Good luck x

I passed 8 months pregnant with my first-born, you got this! Just a note that I was asked to do emergency stop during my test so be prepared. Fingers crossed for you!

Eat a banana before as its good for calming an brain power. I was so nervous but passed at 37 or 39 weeks! They didnt do an emergency stop because of it. Just remember though if you have a section you are not insured to drive for 6 weeks unless you have been ok'd by a doctor. Good luck. You'll be fine x

Always waiting for older sister.

I am here to vent.

For 10 years now I have been hearing things like “you cant get married before your sister”, “you cant have more than your sister”, “we can’t do that for you because we haven’t given the same / similar thing to your sister”. I’m so sick of this. I am in my 30s now. She a couple years older than me. Always got more than me / the more expensive things and I was ok with that because she is older.

Now it’s too much. She had a big expensive wedding, I never had a wedding as I got pregnant 5 years after waiting years for her to marry. She married straight after she found out I was pregnant.

I was having another baby unexpextedly after my first and I was crusified for it beyond any of you readers can understand. I was shouted at and treated terribly while being 8 months pregnant by my own parents as she was not pregnant yet.

They continued to treat me badly after the baby was born for a year.

After her baby was born everyone decided to forget how much they hated me.

Please be aware I never wanted children like this. And I feel terrible about myself everyday because of it. I wish I had the pride she had by being married before kids but I will never have that. I blame them for not having what I wanted.

Now my kids are older I want an extension on my house (my dad is a builder and gets cheap rates it would save us thousands). Well it has to be her house first even though he has spend all his money on her ground floor extension and garden. (now she wants second story extension).

I would do it without him and try to get the cheapest rate myself but he will probably act like I have betrayed him by employing someone else to do the work. It needs to be done now as kids will go to school soon.

I’m just very pissed off but I am not surprised obviously after everything.

My partner is very angry we can’t do what we want especially as I used all my money to buy this house.

Advice please (sorry its long)

Advice please anyone. I'm 28 weeks and live 6 hours from family. Throughout my pregnancy family have been very quiet and none have visited at all, I on the other hand have booked and paid for 2 seperate holidays for my mum and my uncle.. flights, hotels, hold bags, meals out, day trips, the lot, and a concert, and made the journey up to them each time driving them about, I dont have the money, but as it was a big birthday this year for my mum I wanted to make it a special year and used my savings and credit card to do so, my uncle came along and i didn't realise i'd be paying for him too, but that's how it landed. I get called on often to be vented to (as im outside the circle) but very seldom if ever am i asked how I am. Truth is i have really struggled and I have tried to mention it, it falls on deaf ears, i'll be a 38 year old first time mum, this pregnancy has been full off nausea and scares and worry and I have 6 years of failed pregnancies before now, so it's really been really scary and quite lonely and upsetting that noone has bothered to check in. Infact, for over a month i was completely ignored by my mum right before the last holiday. Then the holiday came and went, i drove 6 hours to pick them up then 4 hours to the airport, then the same on the return, then after getting home, she told me how bad the last few weeks have been because she has car insurance to sort out and asked me to pay for it, I had to say no because I genuinely didnt have it, then somehow an argument started and I had to end the call. So eventually 2 days ago, i just broke, and broke down to my other half, cried all day at how invisable i feel and how nothing i do is ever enough for my family, and he messaged my dad ( who is seperated from my mum and the rest of the family) who then called me.. and then out it all come to him. Apparently he then spoke to my mum and now, i have just found out that since yesterday it was decided and i'm now supposed to drive 6 hours up to them 6 weeks before my due date, because now out the blue theres going to be a baby shower for me. All of a sudden (within 2 days or talking to my dad) aunties are messaging asking how i am, my mum is being very sweet. She sent me a video of her either all the family and saying 'all say hello' (to me) and it was so forced and awkward and they all started to talk about how much weight i'd gained when they'd seen me last, it was horrible to watch, sweet in a way on my mums part, but just uncomfortable as everyone else seemed so 'why are we doing this'. Anyway.. at this point, Am I being petulant, or can I just say no to this? I cant help but feel this isn't for me at all but to make them feel better, and noone even asked, they just told my partner to bring me up and sort it out, meaning us paying for fuel, a hotel, taking time from work, sorting the dog out etc.. and all 6 weeks and 3 days before i'm due. It really annoyed me when i found out, am I just being hormonal? Or spoilt? Or am I rightly annoyed? I feel like just hibernating from everyone at this point. The whole thing just feels so awkward. I never wanted a fuss from anyone, certainly not gifts, I just really felt the lack of compassion.

MIL and childcare for baby no 2

Current scenario, my MIL has my 19mo at my house one day a week. For baby no 2, the thought of her coming over every Monday whilst I’m on mat leave gives me so much anxiery. Hormones, trying to bond with baby and also being able to have an extra day with my older son (I work full time at the mo) is really important to me, but I know it will cause issues.

Has anyone else navigated this? And what did you do?

Nesting

I’m 33+2, I keep seeing reels about how people are like psychotically nesting in the third trimester, the whole expectation vs reality shtick showing people scrubbing ovens and wiping skirting boards… am I the only one not getting that..? I begrudgingly did my normal weekly clean yesterday and hoovered and mopped and it nearly killed me off, and I certainly didn’t do it for fun.

Overreacting,hormones or lack of support

So unsure what I want from this post perhaps only expressing my feeling to someone in same situation.

I gave birth through an emergency c-section 2 weeks ago. My husband felt like he would help and support how he did with our first baby in the hospital.

However once I got home the second day he simply gone work and expected me to deal with a baby and a toddler while I was hardly standing on my feet. This is not the worst part because I have my mum around and she can help. However I feel that the lack of support is really getting me and I feel most of the time sad and crying. I tried expressing my feeling to him that I need some support and that is not my mum’s duty to help with everything however he gets very angry and shouts like is my fault I gone through c-section and that I am not yet fully recovered to do everything.

He only blames me for everything and says he is sick of me acting like this all the time and complaining. He hardly wakes up in the night for a change and I am exclusively breastfeeding so I am very tight as baby constantly eating.

When it comes to play with my toddler he prefers playing games with his little brother which came over at the worst times ever to look for a job and stays with us in the meantime. Is so uncomfortable to not having space in your own house or feel ashamed to breastfeed comfortably because is someone else too. Hope he finds a job and moves away soon as it almost feels like I am nit allowed to talk about him just close mouth and respect him and move forward.

On top of that my husband seems and sounds very aggressive not sure if is just my hormones or he just changed and doesn’t wanna help at all.

Unsure what to do at this point just wanna recover soon and be me again.

Anyone one else on same or similar boat? 🥺

Ok so he’s gaged and spit back every baby food I have tried but if I put solid food in this teether he loves it 🤦🏻‍♀️

I’m so serious right now I tried banana baby food? No he spit it out and gagged like it was poison but fresh banana in the teether? He ate it and I had to fill it 3 more times 🤦🏻‍♀️he’s eaten steamed broccoli and steamed carrots like this too! Also likes using a raw carrot or celery for teething stick 😂 he has an obsession with peanut butter. Idk is this bad???? He has 2 bottom front teeth and looks like the top are coming in next and he’s always drooling and chewing on his fingers 🤦🏻‍♀️. I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong
