Does anyone know if its easy to switch the little one from one nursery to another when the next term starts? Or do they make you pay for the full year etc?

Mine is pay in advance for the month, but better to check just in case!

I think most nurseries have waiting lists these days, so it's a case of finding one that works for what you need when you need it
Iām friends with a mum from church and we both have 3 year olds and weāve both applied for the same schools for them to go to next year. She has a son and I have a daughter and heās very naughty. He will make other children cry/ he wonāt share toys heās playing with or he will shout when my daughter says hello to him he will just look away and say no! They have a play kitchen at church and the other day he was playing there and when my daughter went to join in he basically guarded the whole kitchen and toys with his arms so that she couldnāt get to it. Any tips on this? Firstly how to deal with kids who donāt share with your child and how to communicate this to my daughter. Also, would you be friends with a mum if their child misbehaved? Itās not terribly bad but I want to prepare myself now that my daughter will be getting ready for school on how to deal with things like this without making it into a big deal. Bearing in mind they are 3! (Nearly 4)

my fiancĆ©e works full time in hospitality so his shifts arenāt consistent, some are late some are early but how does this mean he doesnāt do anything around the house or even help with baby. heāll only take my son when heās sleeping and whilst heās sleeping i tidy the house and as soon as baby wakes he passes him back to me. iāve tried to tell him how it makes me feel and it just turns into an argument. i donāt even see him anymore as heās always playing games with his friends. i feel alone in a relationship. iām so tired

My toddler will be 2.5 years old when my next baby is born. She hasnāt gone to nursery yet and always had a nanny however she has been āreadyā for nursery since she turned about 2. I want to send her but I am so worried about her getting sick while she is adjusting to nursery and passing that on to the newborn who will have a much weaker immune system.
Has anyone else sent their toddler to nursery for the first time while having a newborn and how did you manage all the illnesses/sicknesses they get while settling in?

At first, my husband and I both agreed that we wouldnāt send our children to daycare. But my son has a bit of speech delayed and we are on the waiting list for Headstart. I brought it up with my husband to enroll our child in daycare due to the fact that it has been very difficult to make friends or to meet people who have kids about his age.

Hey girls. So my partners little sister is 16 sheās been desperate to babysit my girl whoās 16 months old. Iāve put it off and off as my babyās quite clingy doesnāt even like me leaving the house when sheās with her dad I only really like my mum or my partner having her as sheās used to that and when weāve been round his dads house etc and his sister has tried to take Erin off to help us out Erin just kicks off so bad and doesnāt want to leave us. Anyway we went round one night and his dad and step mum was saying we need to arrange a date for Mika to look after Erin for a couple of hours and we will go to the pub down the road from you (not drinking btw) so theyāre going to come to the house and then weāre going to leave and go up the road so we can come back if needs be but I just know Erinās going to absolutely freak when she knows weāre gone and my mum guilt is killing me I do not want to do it at all but I just donāt have the heart to say no or cancel. We went out for a meal last week all of us and we got a message from partners dad to say could you message Mika directly to thank her she has a confidence issue and thinks you guys donāt want her to babysit Erin at all and then said can you message her and say you thought she was great with Erin tonight and that youāre more than happy for her to babysit. Donāt get me wrong she is good with her but I just donāt think itās fair theyāre putting this pressure on us and the reason sheās probably getting the thought we donāt want her to babysit is because we donāt want her to šµāš« what do you guys think? Iām not going to be able to relax at all tomorrow and Iām dreading it so much. I know I shoukd stick up for myself but itās such an awkward situation
