Baby is asleep, I am awake. He's 3 days old and was very fussy tonight. So he's asleep next to me and I'm watching over him. Happy to chat if you're up too? Xx

Money advice

Hi guys I’m looking for advice, due to unforeseen circumstances I cannot return to work until January , and my MAT leave has now stopped. My partner earns a semi decent wage , nothing lavish , however we cannot live solely off his wage , is there anything at all I can claim ? I would appreciate any advice you can give me ,

Raging at my OBGYN

So my OB really is making this journey a pain in the ass. First they scheduled me with a doctor who is retiring this winter and no longer takes patients--so I was rescheduled twice with my current doctor. That was two separate occasions.
I then needed approval for medication for my asthma because I was suffocating from a flare up. They never called back after 3 days and contacting the office is a bitch since AI answers calls. I was going to wait for my next appointment to get meds but I'm so unwell that I got an emergency script.

Then today I was suppose to have said appointment plus my anatomy scan. Husband takes off work for the day, excited to see his little man and ensure I'm healthy. I get a call last minute to reschedule because my doctor moved offices.

Last time I checked the doctor needs to be flexible with a patient's schedule. Not the other way around. Especially in a day and age when both parties have to work in this shit economy so making time for an appointment can be a hassle.

If they mess up again I'm switching clinics because I'm 20 weeks and I don't have the patience for all this nonsense. They screwed up 3/4 appointments so far and I've had it.

I'm already very nervous about how my baby is doing. I've only seen him once in a scan at 7 weeks and he was only a tiny bean.

My family is super excited and they're getting equally as pissed with me when it comes to the doctor's office. 🫩
