How to cope?

I received some crummy news today at my ultrasound. It’s been a day so far of tears and anxiety and I just feel so numb. I don’t want to make this post sound super depressing as baby still has a heartbeat and her weight and growth look pretty good so far but being high risk just moved to urgent and severe high risk and baby needs some intense monitoring because if something happens, baby can bleed to death and be a stillborn so of course all this information has had me an emotional wreck.

How far along are you ??

I’m sure it must be so difficult. Nobody can imagine the pain, but may God keep you and your baby and your family healthy and safe and try to keep calm and patience. You can go through this and one day or baby will come out in this beautiful world, and be in your arms soon.

Try to talk to somebody whom you feel can understand. You can help the Take the edge of.

Contact your health providers/midwives ect

They will all have contacts for you to find professional people for tou to talk to as i imagine the news is quite traumatic to hear, there is phone lines and online chats around that you can contact and talk to.

Just try to take it easy one day at a time do some self care and take your time to come around to the news

You probably wont see it now until babys born but i was high risk with both mine for diffrent reasons and looking back and hearing other peoples experiences i was so glad for all the extra monitoring and having scans every 2 weeks ! I have so many ultrasounds of both my babys as they always took their time to get the images, i got to hear their little hartbeats even more and i was reassured every step of the way

Scrubs fitting larger Dad

Hi all; I’m due to have a C section at RUH Bath in 2 weeks and my husband is very worried about scrubs fitting - he is approx 4XL. Any tips especially from RUh but other hospitals helpful, thanks.

Rolling

My son is nearly 5 months old and he’s not showing any signs of even the slightest bit of being interested in rolling over. I practice with him all the time. I’m an anxious mum and I just worry he’s behind on his milestones😩

Spicy time?? 👀

Obviously I know it’s whenever I feel ready but I had an episiotomy and a 3rd degree tear so when am I okay to even try anything, not even the full thing?

How to round out B belly ?

Has anybody actually found anything that helps to make a B belly baby bump look rounder? I hate that I just looked fat all the way through my first pregnancy ( for reference I'm size 16-18) and want to find something that will smooth out the center line ready for maternity photos this time round? Any advice please?

VBAC

My first pregnancy went fine no complications was having extra scans due to low lying placenta. At 32+4 I had a bleed so went to PAU and was told id be kept in and monitored for 24 hours but whilst in there had another bleed so the decision was made to have an emergency c section. I was told after it was a placenta abruption but they couldn’t confirm the cause baby was in NICU for 4-5 weeks. Im now 23+6 with my second pregnancy and have felt fine throughout, classed as high risk for pre term so under a consultant. I was considering natural delivery but recently have started to get the horrors reading up about VBAC. Would anyone like to share their experience?
