Is it odd that my 6.5 year old boy has only ever been invited to one birthday party since starting school at 4? I’ve asked him if children in his class have birthday parties but he’s not aware of any…

Potentially, but also potentially not. Some kids are just more popular than others. My 6 year old gets invited to every party, I'm pretty sure 🤣 my older child has only ever been invited to a handful and she's now 10

I think with everything being so expensive, a lot more parents are doing the "invite up to five friends for a small party" route instead of big parties
So if he has a couple close friends and he's not getting invited to theirs it might be a little odd and might be something to check about how he behaves with his friends, but if there's no really close friends then unfortunately it's just I think what happens as the whole class parties stop being done as much

In reception my little girl went to quite a few parties. Last year she only attended 2 parties. I supposedly its down to nowadays the expense of everything. Also my little girl have made a different set of friends now in compared to reception.

Depends on what kind of parties the children are having? I know that most of the children in my son's class had a party last year and I think my son was invited to half of them. This year he's having one and we've invited all the class but next year he won't be having one, he can have a select few children over for a tea party.
It's sooo expensive, will be best part of £400 with another family meal on his actual birthday 🤦🏼♀️

I think we've actually all missed the point of this post....are you afraid that your child is lonely at school?
Have you asked his teacher who he plays with, who he sits with at dinner? Who did he invite to his party?
My water broke around 8 AM this morning with a pretty big gush, and I’ve continued leaking some fluid since then. I’m GBS positive, but I’m barely having any contractions — maybe just a couple all day.
I’m trying to figure out whether I should head to Labor & Delivery now or stay home a little longer, rest, and wait to see if contractions start on their own. I’d really prefer not to go in too early if everything is okay.
For those of you who were GBS positive and had your water break before contractions started, how long did you stay home before going to the hospital? What did your OB/midwife recommend?
Just to add — I’m really trying to avoid being induced and give my body a chance to go into labor naturally. From what I’ve read, the actual percentage of babies who develop a GBS infection is very small, even without antibiotics. I’m obviously not trying to put my baby at risk, just trying to understand how long it’s reasonable to wait for contractions to start naturally.

Has anyone had a c section scheduled, but then baby decided to come early? What happened then? Were they still able to do a c section?

Is there any other girlies on here that have EDS or HEDS going through pregnancy or have already? I’m only 12 weeks and I’m really struggling with my hips, everyone just keeps saying walking will help but it seems to make them worse😩 message me if you have had anything similar x

My LO is turning 1 on the 20th and I feel like I’ve failed in a way because I have no support village no friends and I feel like he will miss out on experiencing a celebration. I’ve brought him so many presents and I’m taking him to the sea life centre he loves fish, whales etc.. and I’m going to decorate the room for when he wakes up. But I just feel like I’ve failed 😞💔

Hi all, yesterday morning a woke up with a slight pain on the right side of my back. Sort of between my spine and shoulder blade but I think it’s deep within the shoulder blade. Anyway, it progressed so badly yesterday that breathing became painful, and I could not sit or stand in a comfortable position. I couldn’t lie down in my bed. My mum came over with Deep Heat (absolute QUEEN) which helped short term just relieve somewhat of the pain. And I took like double-action meds. But it’s not going, it’s still so painful, over 24 hours, I can’t sip water without it being excruciating, still breathing is hard. And all general movement. Has anyone experienced this? I ask because i literally can not bare to deal with one more doctor who sits there with lights on and nobody home type of thing, and i leave with no idea or help lol

I'm 30 weeks today and I am EXHAUSTED! It's unlike first trimester (which was awful) in that I'm so sore, I'm constantly in pain, I have so much to do before our baby girl comes but I can't find the energy. To be fair, before pregnancy I was already struggling with chronic illness like fibromyalgia and migraines and a bladder condition but now I'm just miserable nonstop. My husband told me today that going on a walk might help but I feel like I'm struggling to even cook dinner a few times a week and I am too sore/swollen to even go to the grocery store. I know it won't get better but damn my brain keeps telling me I'm lazy and it sucks!!!
