We got a mom cozy health kit thingy gifted to us and the snot sucker came in VERY handy!!! Just used it before a bottle so if she became upset about it, the bottle cured all. Definitely recommend something to get the rubbish out

She doesnāt really have any mucus up her nose weirdly, even when trying saline drops, itās more on her throat/chest I think.

We have the same and what works for us is calpol saline spray and frida snot snucker. Sometimes it seems like itās empty, but when I see what comes out I am shocked. I hope this helpsš

I feel like im a pro at this stage.. my lg was congested from birth and has also had a cold.
1. Saline spray - i love the sterimar breathe easy. When she was badly congested or when she had a cold id give it before every 2nd feed and then before bed too.
2. Frida mom snot sucker. We have an electric one but I found it too agressive when shes so little and I didnt find the bulb aspirators helpful. When she didnt have a cold, there wasnt anything to get as it was higher up the nasal cavity.
3. Frida mom nose and nail picker- fab for getting the visible snot in her little nose.
4. We have used the frida mom humidifier every night for sleep, and I think this was the game changer for her congestion before the cold. We still use it now.
Since she had her cold 3 weeks ago the mucus has moved into her chest. Shes no longer sick but there's a little congested noise when she sleeps in certain positions on me during naps. The humidifier helps with this too!

I can second the sterimar breathe easy spray! It's a game changer. Comes out in a fine mist so actually gets up into their nose.

How often did you use it Hollie?
Really happy to say my baby has arrived safely after an incredible home birth. I'm so pleased to have gotten my home birth with my second child. The difference post birth is truly magical.
My 5 year old daughter was there to witness her baby brother come in the world. I had a lovely hot bath in the evening and we all laid on the sofa for the remainder of the day and watched strictly before heading to bed.
The birth overall was fast at 6hrs 30 mins. Although at the time it felt long and very intense.
Happy to share any further details on my birth as I know how much birth stories helped me when I was planning my home birth as I was outside of guidance with risk of PPH.

I stupidly did the sneak peek gender test at 7 weeks before I even had my first ultrasound. It says Iām having a girl. I have two boys currently. Iāve had a miscarriage before and Iām so worried this ultrasound is going to show something that isnāt a viable pregnancy. I feel like I know in my core that everything is OK but I have that nervous feeling of the unknown as well. Iām 8 weeks today. Idk why Iām posting lol Iām just so nervous.

Hi ladies,
Iāve got a question ā are there any mums on here who have previously had an elective C-section and could guide me through the appointments you had leading up to your actual surgery date?
Iāve currently been attending my usual consultant appointments. At my most recent one, I signed some paperwork, collected my prescription for the medication Iāll need to take before the big day, and had my MRSA screening swabs done. I was then ādischargedā from the appointment the same day.
However, I still have two more appointments booked in. I have no idea what the next one is for, so I was wondering if anyone might know what to expect or what it could be for?
I know the final appointment is the day before surgery and thatās for things like blood tests, a urine sample, blood pressure checks, etc.
Would really appreciate hearing what your experience was and what appointments you had leading up to your C-section. š©· x

my csection was 10 months ago and since then ive had so many problems with my stomachs, ive had constant diarrhoea and rarely have a normal stool, and i keep getting gastritis (i think) and when i get this its so painful i ended up at a&e the first time because i didnt know what it was and the pain was unbearable for me. between that and the diarrhoea which has made me have a number of accidents (embarrassing) i have found it hard to enjoy motherhood at times because its all started after her birth.
just wondering if anyone eles has had this and what they have done to help. ive got some meds from the doctors for the gastritis and got a test coming up for the constant diarrhoea but im at a lost because everything i eat seems to set one of them off.
