So i went in for my sweep today, i am 39+6. Baby is 3/5 engaged. I was already around 4cm dilated but NOT in active labour. Ive been having cramps for the past 2 weeks and honestly feel like the sweep did absolutely nothing🙂. I lost my mucus plug and that was about it. I feel like this baby just doesnt want to come out. Im tired and so over it. The pain is absolutely just tiring me out however everytime i go to triage to get it checked out they say its normal. I have tried everything and anything at this point. Is anyone else in the same boat or is it just me

I’m the same. I had my induction this morning at 9am, and the midwife said I was between 3–4cm dilated, with a Bishop score of 8. I’ve just been having on-and-off cramps, but it hasn’t progressed into active labour. I lost my mucus plug around 3pm and went into triage this evening. I’m now 4cm dilated, but still not in active labour. I’m honestly so tired and just want baby out now ðŸ˜

Same! Had a sweep Thursday and the midwife was adamant that she’d put me in labour as I was fully effaced etc., but besides some moments of contractions that I thought things were going to pick up, nothing really moved. Will have a scan tomorrow and will ask to see if my cervix have progressed at all, thinking about just getting a induction if it’s only about breaking my waters and get this over with
I’m not usually one to be impatient and I do believe babies come when they’re ready (hence getting to 42+1 in my first pregnany).
However, I have a toddler and had a previous c-section. I’m scared about how continuing to get bigger will affect my scar / possibility of it rupturing.
I am booked for an elective section if baby is not here by next Monday - but I really would prefer a VBAC (for recovery with a toddler)
Did you do anything that you truly think helped bring on labour?

Those who have experienced induction before, whether good or bad experiences, are you able to pinpoint why the outcome was good or bad? For example what week were you induced at and was there a point in the process that looking back was a good sign/sign things probably would not progress?
Hopefully this makes some sort of sense....

Soooo, I was really against inducing after my first baby as it was not a nice experience at all!!
But due to a change in medical conditions I’m having to be induced this week now as I want to avoid a c section due to being on my own with the kids throughout the week.
I’m just wondering if anyone else has had second time round a better experience few mums at school have said it’s a lot quicker second time round.
I’m just wondering as I now have to sort out care for my 5 year old as I was in for over a week with her😩
