Cluster feeding 10pm - 1am

Baby was late so is 5 days old. Baby is back to back cluster feeding between 10-1, every night.

She falls asleep on the boob, so I give it 10 minutes and then I try and transfer but she wakes back up straight away and nothing will serve her other than another feed, then the cycle goes on etc. It’s relentless!

Did anyone else have/experiencing this?

My baby was 2 weeks late. I’ve also been experiencing this the last few nights and it’s been a real struggle. My partner has been keen to help settle him, so I can get some rest but what I’ve realised is that he just wants to be on me.

The one trick I’ve found is to keep him on me after a feed instead of transferring and let him have some sleep time on me around 30 mins + until he’s in a deep sleep and then attempt transfer into next to me. Easier said than done, but I feel your pain! Mine was doing it from 9pm-12 tonight and finally sleeping on me and going to see if I can get him in the crib soon 🤞

I’m a week and a bit in and tonight she’s basically wanted to be on the breast from 6pm till 1am and still going - I am not really sure what to do

I would love for mine to finish at 1am but she’ll keep going till 5am. It’s been 9 days but I’m not sure how much longer I can keep this up.
I have a toddler and I’m not sleeping at all.

What is everyone putting their baby in if they fall asleep downstairs during the day?

My baby naps downstairs during the day but is outgrowing his Moses basket and I don’t really have the room for a travel cot downstairs. I have a next to me crib upstairs in our bedroom as well as a cot in his bedroom but if I move him upstairs he doesn’t seem to go to sleep🫣🤣. Any advice or recommendations for what to use downstairs would be greatly appreciated🫶

1 month old!

First time mama to a 1 month old perfect boy!🩵
For the first 3 weeks of his life doctors ignored me about his symtoms and suspected CMPA (cows milk protein allergy) because im a "first time worried mum" It took for him to start pooping blood for them to listen!

5/6 days into him having his allergy milk, 8/10 of his symptoms have cleared up& i have a happier more content baby!🤍

Baby will only sleep when held - it’s ruining my mental health

I have a 10 week old baby who will only sleep when held day or night. It’s ruining my mental health.
I spend hours every day trapped under him in silence with white noise that gives me a headache because I’m so sleep deprived. I feel stiff and sore. I feel lonely, bored and frustrated. Every attempt at transfer just fails. I have tried every trick in the book short of buying a snoo. He absolutely hates the carrier. I feel like a terrible mother because I’m supposed to be enjoying the snuggles. But they feel forced. I’m trapped until he wakes up for a feed and change. Only then I have literally 5 minutes to quickly go toilet or eat something- do a small chore. I have no one who can help and take the pressure off me. Friends are too busy 😢 There is no village so there is nobody to help. Family live far and are dysfunctional af so I can’t even go to them😭😭 We co-sleep, which I hate. I feel terrified I’m going to wake up and find him passed out. I thought I’d break the cycle and never make my son feel like he was difficult to love. But 10 weeks in, I’ve already failed. He’s not choosing to give me a hard time. He’s a baby who doesn’t know how to sleep alone and needs my help, and I’m struggling to meet this need. He has reflux and possibly colic too now which is making me even more sad for him and depressed. I’m not looking for practical advice on how to get him sleeping on his own. Trust me, I have tried every practical advice i have found online so far. I’m looking to vent and for similar stories or for advice on how to cope with the isolation of this mentally, or any words of comfort.

Please I’m desperate.

There seems to be no end in sight.

I don’t know how to carry on like this.

Trying to build milk supply

Hi all, I’m 3 weeks postpartum and i’m thinking of switching my baby from formula to breast milk. I’ve only just started pumping but it’s taking so much energy out of me. Does anyone have any advice?

Constipation

Has anyone experienced constipation with their formula fed LO? Mine is 4 weeks old and formula fed and the last few days he’s really struggling to pass any stools, and is straining and crying when he tries. Today he hasn’t gone at all. I’ve tried infacol which hasn’t helped. Any tips or advice would be really helpful, it’s horrible seeing him in pain.
