Postpartum period - tmi

I had a c section 6 weeks ago Monday and am bottle feeding. All bleeding had stopped, just had pads for some small mucus discharge.
I got my period back at 5 weeks and 6 days.
Now I’m debating if it is a period. I’m 5 days in and it is shocking - it’s so heavy I’m wearing night pads in the day and postpartum pants overnight. Doesn’t appear to be letting up.
Has anyone else had this?
I was silly and googled, half responses are that it’s normal to have a heavy period and other half mentions postpartum haemorrhage 😭
I don’t want to go the the Gp as they’ll ask me to go to the hospital which is an hour away and I have no support for my 3 year old and 6 week old

I am 6 weeks and 4 days and still bleeding really quite heavily mentioned this to my midwife and the GP and I have been told it was normal but it doesn’t feel normal! I am back at the GPs today for my 6 week check so hopefully get some answers!

Its most likely your period. I was 5 weeks post Csection when mine came and my baby is combi fed (breast and formula)
It lasted for about a week and a half and then that was it. Monitor the number of pads used in an hour though, as this will let you know whether you need to see the GP or go to A&E.

Hope this helps 😊

The first one is HEAVY! It’s a full hormonal restart after almost a year off so it’s a lot, plus cramping is tough as your uterus contractions pull on scar tissue.

After the first it gets lighter and more like normal. I’ve had two sections, my first one it came back at 9 weeks, the second 6 months. Both were like a horror movie for over a week but after that it went light again and 4/5 days tops.

Low lying placenta

Was told I have a low lying placenta at my 20w scan(5mm from cervix) and when I asked them if it was ok to fly the next week (3h flight) they were a bit vague so now I am confused. Has anyone been flying with a very low lying placenta?

Anyone else nervous to start buying things??

We had our private gender scan last week at 15w+4 at window to the womb and found out we are having a little girl! 🌸 after 2 early losses previously, I can’t help but feel nervous to buy things for her. My family are so excited and have already bought a few things. I keep saying let’s get to 20 week scan then we can buy things properly. Has anyone else started to buy things yet??

Provider didn’t discuss this with me last visit and i just saw results in portal. I was 35 weeks last friday when i had a growth scan (i also have gestational diabetes) but it says estimated gestational age is 33 weeks with the measurements. It also says suspected placental insufficiency. But at the appt the doctor spent 2 mins with me and said everything is fine?? Anyone else had this and things were ok?? I’m now freaking out

is anyone in the same boat as me? 😭🩷

Is anyone else in a similar situation and just absolutely winging it at this point? 😭😂

I have an 8½ month old who has decided that sleep is completely optional. She barely naps during the day and is waking constantly through the night, sometimes staying awake for hours. She’s absolutely exhausted but will fight sleep with everything in her tiny body 😭 I’m trying everything and honestly I’m at the point where I don’t even know what to do anymore.

On top of that, I’ve got quite a few health issues that have been really kicking my arse lately and making it difficult to function normally. And now I’m pregnant again on top of all of it 🥲 I’m exhausted, constantly struggling to keep up with everything, and some days I genuinely feel like I’m barely keeping my head above water.

I love my wee girl more than anything and I know this is just a season, but I’m so physically and mentally drained. I feel like I’m constantly trying to look after everyone while having absolutely nothing left in the tank myself.

I know there probably isn’t a magic answer or much advice anyone can give, but I think I’d feel so much better just knowing I’m not the only one in this boat. ❤️

Are there any other mums who are dealing with awful sleep, pregnancy, health problems, or just generally feeling like they’re struggling to function? How are you coping? 😭
