We live in a small village and the 2 nearest cities are around 45 minutes from us. Seems silly to get the baby out for the sake of 15 minutes

i personally would say its better to be safe then sorry , it may seem silly but id rather be feeling silly then having to grieve my baby , but idk wether thats just the healthy anxiety inside of me talking ahah x

What age are they?? X

Never heard of this! We had an hour drive home from the hospital 😆

I have also never heard of this! I thought it was 2 hour

I've never heard of this, I was always told 2 hours was the max! And there was never any advice on how long to wait between stints if you were travelling longer... 10 minutes, 30 minutes, an hour?! No idea 😅

I think it depends on age and the car seat type. Saying that it was a 45 minute drive home from the hospital and we had to stop so I could use a toilet so took us about an hour to get home and my little girl is now almost 5 months and absolutely fine. But I believe its under 4 weeks old is 30 minutes and after that its 2 hours. As long as they dont end up slouching chin to chest in their car seat you'll be fine for that extra 15 minutes though x

No but we would sit in the back with him. To be honest I’ve always read this as advice around the uptick in people just putting car seats on pram bases and keeping babies in for muuuch longer than 30 mins.

I’ve heard the 30mins rule is generally for babies under 6weeks. Above this, you can leave them in the car seat for 2hours max, then they would need a break 🤷🏻♀️

my partners family live 45 minute drive from us and we’ve done that drive with our baby a few times now. he’s 11 weeks now and seems to be fine, doctor had no concerns at his 8 week check
My milk has just come in today. I was just wondering how do I shower as I’ve heard a lot of mixed advice. Am I supposed to leave my bra on in the shower?

My infant is 8 weeks old and I love her more than anything but it’s getting a little overwhelming as I feel like a single mom sometimes. My boyfriend is in school and he works part time which I understand he can’t help but during the night he never gets up to feed her a bottle and I am barely getting any sleep. During the day when he is home he is mostly playing video games and only really helps for maybe an hour or two. I have her all day which is also hard because she is in the habit of not wanting to sleep in her bassinet but on me so I honestly never have time to take a nap, shower or even cook sometimes. I tried bringing it up but it just made him feel bad and nothing changed. I would love advice on how to talk to him about this without making him upset.

I am overwhelmed by the amount of strollers options and prices, I have a 3 month old and I would like an easier stroller to take in and out of the car that has pockets and big storage space underneath. Any recommendations? Also something that I would be able to add a second kid in the future.

Do I need to use glass bottle for feeding? Currently I got plastic philips bottle..I heat it each time to warm the milk...does it cause microplastics?
