Pregnant with autoimmune disease

Hi I’m very early pregnant with my first! 5 weeks! I have suchhhh mixed emotions I hope that’s normal.
I also suffer with inflammatory bowel disease ( ulcerative colitis) wondering if anyone else pregnant with similar condition or an autoimmune disease and how it’s affecting it all?

Hello, I will be 24 weeks tomorrow and I have 3 chronic autoimmune conditions. It makes it extremely hard being pregnant but worth it at the same time

My little girl is 4 and I have Crohn’s
Doctors said not to worry about it through pregnancy as your body heals itself however they monitored me closer after pregnancy to ensure I didn’t have a flare up xx

Hey hunny! Thank you for posting x
Have you experienced any flare ups during the 24 weeks??
Fatigue is a big side effect of mine and I’m worried about how the pregnancy will turn me horizontal x x

I have IBS, POTS, and they suspect anything inflammatory issue. I’m 32 weeks now. It’s … really rough, not going to lie. My second trimester was much better. Just remember hydration with electrolytes, stay on top of supplements especially iron every few days regardless of diet, and take it easy when you can. I know it’s easy to have the guilt to not want to, but you’re dealing with your usual issues and creating life. 🫶🏻

Hi!! I’m not a first time mom (anymore) but I have an almost 3 year old little girl and I have ulcerative colitis. I was having severe pancolitis and was hospitalized maybe 6 months before I found out I was pregnant. I’m happy to say that I got my UC under control during my pregnancy and I have been in remission since! :) feel free to DM me

I don’t have IBD but I have bowel inflammation and PCOS and I’m 12 weeks pregnant. So far my symptoms have gotten worse. For example, digestive problems which were under control have put me back on PPIs. But I think generally this is first trimester systems and you might feel them more than usual. It is now easing up. And my gp has been amazing, obviously knowing the history he has made sure to treat myself problems outside of midwife care.

So upset.

I went to my midwife appointment this morning for a sweep.
Baby has been ready this whole pregnancy. I am 39+3.

I had a scan 8 days ago, she was growing lovely and engaged.

They couldn't do the sweep because baby has decided to completely turn and go breech right at the last minute 😞

Now I have to sit and wait all weekend until I hear from the hospital with a plan.

Stats show the most likely option is now a c section due to the timing.

I am absolutely gutted this has happened 😞

Tightenings on Monitor

I’ve just been on monitor at assessment unit and they’ve asked if I’m having any tightenings and I said I could feel them but nothing major. Midwife said they are measuring higher than braxton hicks, has anyone else had this and it progressed?

Thanks!

Sex after c section…

I’m 3 weeks PP and feel good to go, like I’ve got an itch that needs scratching and I know my partner does too 😅
In the UK we’re advised to wait 6 weeks and he’s super considerate and wants to wait the full 6 weeks to ensure that I’m okay, has anyone else gone for it sooner than 6 weeks after a c section?

Outings with baby

I would love to do my outings with my baby, however every time I take him out I end up having to take him out the pram and walk with him in my arms lol. It therefore puts me off wanting to go out as much because he cries in the pushchair.

Maybe I should take him out more to get used to it? Any other advice on how I can get him to just chill in the pushchair lol.

16 week scan - wrong gender

Did not expect the news today that I’m Infact having a little girl. Everyone says the cord is rare but it clearly isn’t. I’m total shock!

Need to exchange clothes. 🙈 hopefully it’s the same gender at our 20 weeks scan. Haha.
