Me and my bf/baby daddy just got a place together. Figuring stuff out. Like schedules and that kind of stuff. I have been trying to work my butt off unpacking, putting away laundry, cleaning laundry, doing dishes. You know.. keeping everything clean. But I always get a comment about how there are still dishes in the sink. That our daughter and I used maybe an hour or two before he got home. And I wasn’t able to clean it then and there. Or condescending remarks on how I do laundry. My system doesn’t work for him. So I ask him calmly what would work better for him. And then I explain how my system works for me. It helps me remember. Between the three of us there is a lot of laundry. He changes his clothes like crazy. And I change our daughter’s clothes accordingly. Ect. Then last night I asked him to watch her while I go to the bathroom and switch around laundry. I hear a boom and a little cry and him yelling breathe. He fell asleep on the bed and she apparently crawled right off the bed and head first into the floor. I grabbed her and tried to calm her down so I can assess her. But she doesn’t calm down til she goes to sleep. Well I try to keep her awake so I can continue assessing her. We took her to the hospital. She’s fine. They rushed her back since she was unresponsive on the way there and when we got there. They watched her for 4 hours to make sure she was good. But as we are waiting he just kept leaving the room to go out to the car. While I’m there to take care of her. Which is fine I’m her mother. She wants me most of the time especially then. But near the last two hours he decides to sleep on the floor of the room while she’s asleep and had barely gotten any sleep the night before since she’s teething really bad. And sleep regressing. Which her and I have been dealing with and battling since we moved in a few weeks ago. So while he’s making comments about me not getting a lot done. I’m battling her wanting me since it’s a new house. Knew everything for her. She’s teething and sleep regressing all at the same time. So getting stuff done during the day isn’t a breeze as you can imagine. But he thinks it’s easy work being at home all day. With a baby girl who wants to be held all the time no matter what while trying to get EVERYTHING done. So what do I do? He literally just walked out of the house after being condescending towards me and how I do laundry. I wasn’t having it and he got annoyed at me for him being a certain way to me. He sometimes helps with stuff around the house. But he never watches he for me for very long. I ask for help but when she gets fussy he’s like “shut up” to the baby. And come and grab her and tell him to stop saying that to her. She’s just a BABY. He does “do well with crying” is what he told me. It’s supposed to be a team effort of taking care of her. Not all on me and he just watches. Like at lunch. He got to eat his lunch hot. And then when he was done. (He took his sweet ass time) he said he would hold her so I could eat. His dad called and was was paying more attention to that conversation while she’s wriggling out of his arms while sitting on the table. So I just put my food away and then took her back and walked her around while he did whatever. So much for me eating I guess.

Hi I’m concerned for your baby… a man who tells a baby to shut up and doesn’t do well with crying isn’t safe for that baby. Please don’t leave her with him. I’m worried that’s the type of man that would hurt her. He already was negligent and let her fall off the bed.
He sounds mean and I’m sorry you are going through it. Household chores should be a shared task despite his assumptions it’s your job.
If he doesn’t like how you do laundry he can do his own. Either he shuts up and lets you do it or he does it. You can’t demand labor then nitpick how the task is done
As for dishes it’s no big deal but what I do is I wear my baby or I roll her in her mini crib to the kitchen and she plays in her piano mat while I do things quickly.
Might be worth it to have a conversation about expectations and division of labor. Sounds like he’s holding you to tasks you didn’t agree to

I couldn't even finish reading. That's not a man to raise a baby with. Not only is it unhealthy but it's unsafe

Also, you’re putting into your baby and being a Sahm is a 24/7 job. I’m sorry your partner wanted a baby like a kid wants a puppy
My partner and I live together, and I’m a first-time mom to our two-month-old baby. Since the very first day I came home from the hospital after my C-section, while I was in pain and recovering, he had friends over without consulting me. I was so overwhelmed that I ended up crying in front of them.
Since then, he has continued agreeing to visits on weekdays and weekends without consulting me first. Sometimes, we’ll literally be in the middle of a conversation, and he’ll interrupt me to say, “Can you open the door? So-and-so is downstairs to see the baby.”
Yesterday was the height of it all, and I finally had enough. He came home from work around 9:30 p.m., and I had been taking care of the baby the entire time. He then asked if his friend had called me because they wanted to come see the baby. I finally confronted him because I’m tired of this happening repeatedly.
I’m exhausted, and weekends are my only chance to get things done while he helps with the baby. I don’t mind visitors, but I expect advance notice and to be consulted before anyone is invited over. The frustrating part is that when I speak up, I’m made to feel like the villain while he gets to be the good guy who says yes to everyone.
Am I wrong for wanting basic consideration and boundaries in my own home?

I am in the process of potty training my son and need any tips or tricks! He does pretty well when he doesn’t have a diaper or pull up on but as soon as we put anything on him even training underwear he starts to have accidents 🤦♀️ I have been off all week and have to send him back to daycare on Monday. Clearly the commando method can’t be used at daycare. HELP!

I have been with my child Father for a little bit over three years. We have a 14 month old baby. He complains about the way that I speak to him which I really don’t have a clue what I’m wrong. I’m Caribbean he’s African. I’ve tried to tone down. We still have been going at it for probably two years. He thinks I’m selfish and doesn’t show him love. He complains that I yell, which i don’t think i do, or talk crazy. He wants all these things from me, but isn’t nice to me.
He’s a great father , he provides, but I feel like it’s getting to a point where I can’t do it anymore. Every time we have an argument every time I bring something up of what I don’t like he always turn it back to me.
He says well I’m doing this and I have talked about it and I haven’t changed. I could never bring up something I don’t like without him turning it around to me, and lecturing me.
two days ago he’s said that he’s intentionally being an ass to me so I can see how it feels like when i do it to him and at this point it’s like why are we even in a relationship?

Please please tell me what your doing with your 9 month olds throughout the day. My partner works 12hour shifts and it’s just so draining being in the house with a fussy 9 month olds who I have to try keep a nap routine for.
What are we doing to keep them entertained and us feeling like we have an inch of sanity. Cannot even go to toilet without him crying and it’s so draining. I want positive and supportive advice please :(
