Hurt by my partner

I’m 17 just had my first baby. I have no fanily at all except my partners family. He’s 18 and my baby is 5 weeks old. He does nothing he doesn’t get up at night he doesn’t tidy he doesn’t clean he does nothing I’m on my own and it was him that was convincing me to keep the baby. I wouldent change this for the world now but every single week since my sons been born my partner has been out at the pub with his pals. I don’t get to go out with mine I made plans last week to go for coffee WOTH some and I was guilt tripped by him. I have a sever womb infection and bladder infection curently so I’m at his mum and dads house Bwcause I can’t cope in my own house on my own right now and I am just so upset and angry that I’ve been Left to deal on my own whilst he gets to live his best life. It’s so unfair and I know this is my own fault and I done it to myself but somebody tell me I’m not crazy and I’m not the only one. TAHTS dealing with this and these feelings

First, I want to say that I am so sorry you are going through this! Being a mom takes so much mentally, physically, and emotionally, and you deserve support through all of it.

You do not deserve this, and you don't have to blame yourself for the situation you're in. So many women go through this, and you're not wrong for expecting someone who wanted you to keep the baby to step up and be a teammate with you! You can love your baby more than anything in the world and still feel overwhelmed, exhausted, and angry that you're doing it alone. Those feelings don't make you a bad mom!

I'm sorry you're having to deal with all of this, especially while you're sick. Please prioritize your health and remember that you deserve to be cared for, too. ❤️ You're absolutely not crazy, and you're not alone in feeling this way. Be kind to yourself! ♡♡♡

You posted 6 months ago that you wanted to leave him. It sounds like he is beginning to show some emotional abuse and some coercive control - guilt tripping you for wanting to meet with friends is a red flag.
Reading what you’ve wrote you are incredibly vulnerable, healing from birth and now freshly postpartum.
You are also dealing with a teen father who doesn’t seem to understand the weight of responsibility he now shares with you.
Does his parents acknowledge he is doing very little? Do they pick him up on it?
Where is your family?

It’s not your fault - you are not responsible for how another person behaves or chooses to act.
What you need to decide is how long you will be able to tolerate the behaviour, lack of support and the impact it’s having on you emotionally?

Whatever you do. Be selfish and put your and your child first.
Do not let anyone make you feel uncomfortable or guilty. Because your mood, your temperament and your personality wellbeing directly impact baby

Am I wrong for wanting boundaries with visitors

My partner and I live together, and I’m a first-time mom to our two-month-old baby. Since the very first day I came home from the hospital after my C-section, while I was in pain and recovering, he had friends over without consulting me. I was so overwhelmed that I ended up crying in front of them.

Since then, he has continued agreeing to visits on weekdays and weekends without consulting me first. Sometimes, we’ll literally be in the middle of a conversation, and he’ll interrupt me to say, “Can you open the door? So-and-so is downstairs to see the baby.”

Yesterday was the height of it all, and I finally had enough. He came home from work around 9:30 p.m., and I had been taking care of the baby the entire time. He then asked if his friend had called me because they wanted to come see the baby. I finally confronted him because I’m tired of this happening repeatedly.

I’m exhausted, and weekends are my only chance to get things done while he helps with the baby. I don’t mind visitors, but I expect advance notice and to be consulted before anyone is invited over. The frustrating part is that when I speak up, I’m made to feel like the villain while he gets to be the good guy who says yes to everyone.

Am I wrong for wanting basic consideration and boundaries in my own home?

Potty Training

I am in the process of potty training my son and need any tips or tricks! He does pretty well when he doesn’t have a diaper or pull up on but as soon as we put anything on him even training underwear he starts to have accidents 🤦‍♀️ I have been off all week and have to send him back to daycare on Monday. Clearly the commando method can’t be used at daycare. HELP!

If you already have a school age child, what was your number 1 important thing for choosing their primary school?

I just can’t decide between 2!

Am I overreacting?

I have been with my child Father for a little bit over three years. We have a 14 month old baby. He complains about the way that I speak to him which I really don’t have a clue what I’m wrong. I’m Caribbean he’s African. I’ve tried to tone down. We still have been going at it for probably two years. He thinks I’m selfish and doesn’t show him love. He complains that I yell, which i don’t think i do, or talk crazy. He wants all these things from me, but isn’t nice to me.

He’s a great father , he provides, but I feel like it’s getting to a point where I can’t do it anymore. Every time we have an argument every time I bring something up of what I don’t like he always turn it back to me.

He says well I’m doing this and I have talked about it and I haven’t changed. I could never bring up something I don’t like without him turning it around to me, and lecturing me.

two days ago he’s said that he’s intentionally being an ass to me so I can see how it feels like when i do it to him and at this point it’s like why are we even in a relationship?

Going insane?

Please please tell me what your doing with your 9 month olds throughout the day. My partner works 12hour shifts and it’s just so draining being in the house with a fussy 9 month olds who I have to try keep a nap routine for.

What are we doing to keep them entertained and us feeling like we have an inch of sanity. Cannot even go to toilet without him crying and it’s so draining. I want positive and supportive advice please :(
