Not qualifying for second statutory maternity
Does anyone have any advice. I went on maternity leave in August 2025 for 1 year then used my holidays after my maternity leave ended which took me to October 2026. I got pregnant whilst on maternity leave and I am due to start my second maternity leave in exactly 1 week and have just been notified by my manager that I do not qualify for statutory maternity pay or company maternity pay as my earning where below the threshold. This was a shock to me as I found out exactly a week before I’m due to go on to maternity. I wish I would have been informed of the qualifying period earlier as I could have used a KIT day or some annual leave as I still have annual leave left to use from 2026 which I will be carrying over into 2027. Is there anything I can do? I wish my employer could have given me a heads up sooner. I missed the cut off by around £100!
I know it’s my fault for not reading the policy and ensuring I was earning above the threshold but I just need advice please! 🙏

You can qualify for maternity allowance if u dont qualify for the one given by your employer
Go on the GOV website and look into maternity allowance, I had to use this cos I was under the threshold from my job and it was sorted within a couple of weeks & backdated
As above, apply for maternity allowance from the government. Do it asap though as it takes around 4 weeks to get sorted.

Sex drive Vent
I am 10m pp and I hadn’t had any sex drive until now. I NEEEEEEED it.
I have one person I really think about but our schedules never align. We drove to me one time while I was baby free and we kissed and I swearrrrr, I almost jumped in his lap.
I don’t wanna seem desperate but lowkey I am for him though.
We talk here and there. I let him know my baby free times and left it up to him to lmk when he is free because his work schedule is crazy and I’m not always baby free but I often find myself hoping he will message me. He has messaged me a couple times to see what I’m doing so he could come and pick me up but it’s usually at awkward hours.
All I can think about it when we used to sleep together and how good it was 😭😭😭
