Anyone else just not have friends or a village?

I have a few people I’d text (from previous work places) but I feel like I’m always the first to message and no one asks to meet up with me, I’d be the one to suggest something but it very really follows through. I only have my mum close by and even then it always seems unless I NEED her to come over, she wouldn’t off her own accord.
I’m struggling a bit mentally again with this toddler stage and a friend to keep me company through the tough times would have been nice. I’ve always felt so sad seeing videos online of friend groups or siblings having babies at the same time as I imagine it makes things that tiny bit easier.
Not expecting to make a best friend via this post but just wondering how others got through it 😥.

It’s something that more mothers have to face. I would say something that helps me is being open to building relationships with those close to my son. You would be surprised who is feeling just like you and how you being open and honest with other mothers who you met could make you bond with others. Know it’s okay not to have a village and this isn’t a reflection on yourself personally and you can make meaningful connections and these people will reciprocate your friendship. I wish you all the best and if you need someone to talk to, please message. Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there.

Same here 😅 no village and yeah it gets tough sometimes. I used to watch to many tv shows and had a romanticized version of motherhood. If you ever want to rant/talk do not hesitate.

Contraception

Just after some advice on contraception…

I’m 35 and never used any form of it. Due to PCOS, I was always told I would need intervention to get pregnant, I did a year on Mounjaro and this helped bring back my periods and eventually ended up pregnant, which was a massive blessing for us. But wasn’t planned as such. We just didn’t do anything to prevent it.

Once LO one was born, I remember one of the first conversations thrown down your neck at the hospital was contraception and because I’ve never looked into any of it I said I wasn’t interested.

It was then brought u at my PP check up the other day, and again, I said i hadn’t thought about it.

There’s so may different options and in just after a bit of advice of which route to go down (I’m starting mounjaro again, so don’t want 2 under 2) x

Friends 🫶🏻

💕 Hey mamas! Let’s be friends! 😘❤️

I’m 27, married, a boy mom to my wild 8-year-old, and I work full-time in healthcare! 🩺💙 I love books, good food, the outdoors, and a little bit of chaos. 😂

I’m looking for my ride-or-die mom friends 👯‍♀️ The ones who talk shit, hype each other up, send unhinged memes at midnight, gossip a little 🤭, and show up when life gets messy.

I want the REAL friendships — no fake vibes, no judgment, no weird competition. Just good women, good laughs, and genuine connections. ❤️‍🔥

Bonus points if you’re a little chaotic, sarcastic, and have a dark sense of humor. 😂🖤

Drop a comment or message me! Let’s see if we can turn strangers into besties. 💋💕

Please I feel miserable no one is hearing me

I need some advice because I feel like I’m being misunderstood, and I genuinely want an outside perspective.

For some background, I have a boyfriend who has a son from a previous relationship, and we also have a daughter together. Who is my first. During my pregnancy, my boyfriend cheated on me with his son’s mother and multiple other women. There was a lot of disrespect and hurt surrounding that situation, and it was especially painful because I was pregnant at the time. His brother also teamed up with his son’s mother to put me down, and his mother has dismissed the cheating situation as “nonsense.” These experiences have affected how comfortable and accepted I feel around his family. His step mom and everyone else says it doesn’t compare. Bf says I’m ungrateful because his family has done everything for my daughter.

On my side, there has also been conflict. My boyfriend was giving my mother money for rent, but she was using the money for herself instead of putting it toward the rent arrears. Understandably, this caused a lot of anger and resentment between my boyfriend and my family. Hurtful things were said on both sides, and my mother has said some very hurtful things to me, too.

Because of everything that happened, my boyfriend refuses to let me take our daughter to visit my family. It hurts to see his family and all his toddler nieces and nephews go out to get food and no one invites me or even ask. They do family outings and I can’t have mine. He said this is my family now. I understand why he is angry, and I am not excusing what my mother did. However, I miss my family. I miss my siblings, my dog, and being around people I’ve known my whole life. I also want my daughter to have the opportunity to know my side of the family, provided those relationships are safe and healthy for her.

Recently, I opened up to my boyfriend’s family about feeling left out and awkward because I don’t know them very well. I also admitted that I miss my family. Their response was that I cannot compare my boyfriend cheating on me to my family being disrespectful to me, because the situations are different.

But I wasn’t necessarily trying to compare them. I know both situations are hurtful in different ways. I was trying to express how I feel and explain that I miss my family, too. I feel like I am expected to understand everyone’s hurt, but when I express mine, it gets dismissed or turned into a comparison.

I already feel like an outsider in my boyfriend’s family because of the cheating, the disrespect, and the way certain family members have treated me. Now I feel guilty for even expressing that I miss my own family.

Am I wrong for feeling this way? Am I wrong for wanting to maintain a relationship with my siblings and wanting my daughter to know my side of the family, even after what my mother did? How do I navigate this situation without dismissing my boyfriend’s feelings but also without completely sacrificing my own emotional needs?

I genuinely want honest advice because I know my family isn’t innocent in this situation, but I don’t think that means my feelings should be dismissed either.

Positive going back to work stories

Please please let me know all the positives things about going back to work.

I go back in 2 weeks after a loooong time off. I was off due to sickness during pregnancy so it’s been a while.

I’m starting to spiral and think I’m going to miss out on everything with my girls.

Please tell me good things!
