Please I feel miserable no one is hearing me

I need some advice because I feel like I’m being misunderstood, and I genuinely want an outside perspective.

For some background, I have a boyfriend who has a son from a previous relationship, and we also have a daughter together. Who is my first. During my pregnancy, my boyfriend cheated on me with his son’s mother and multiple other women. There was a lot of disrespect and hurt surrounding that situation, and it was especially painful because I was pregnant at the time. His brother also teamed up with his son’s mother to put me down, and his mother has dismissed the cheating situation as “nonsense.” These experiences have affected how comfortable and accepted I feel around his family. His step mom and everyone else says it doesn’t compare. Bf says I’m ungrateful because his family has done everything for my daughter.

On my side, there has also been conflict. My boyfriend was giving my mother money for rent, but she was using the money for herself instead of putting it toward the rent arrears. Understandably, this caused a lot of anger and resentment between my boyfriend and my family. Hurtful things were said on both sides, and my mother has said some very hurtful things to me, too.

Because of everything that happened, my boyfriend refuses to let me take our daughter to visit my family. It hurts to see his family and all his toddler nieces and nephews go out to get food and no one invites me or even ask. They do family outings and I can’t have mine. He said this is my family now. I understand why he is angry, and I am not excusing what my mother did. However, I miss my family. I miss my siblings, my dog, and being around people I’ve known my whole life. I also want my daughter to have the opportunity to know my side of the family, provided those relationships are safe and healthy for her.

Recently, I opened up to my boyfriend’s family about feeling left out and awkward because I don’t know them very well. I also admitted that I miss my family. Their response was that I cannot compare my boyfriend cheating on me to my family being disrespectful to me, because the situations are different.

But I wasn’t necessarily trying to compare them. I know both situations are hurtful in different ways. I was trying to express how I feel and explain that I miss my family, too. I feel like I am expected to understand everyone’s hurt, but when I express mine, it gets dismissed or turned into a comparison.

I already feel like an outsider in my boyfriend’s family because of the cheating, the disrespect, and the way certain family members have treated me. Now I feel guilty for even expressing that I miss my own family.

Am I wrong for feeling this way? Am I wrong for wanting to maintain a relationship with my siblings and wanting my daughter to know my side of the family, even after what my mother did? How do I navigate this situation without dismissing my boyfriend’s feelings but also without completely sacrificing my own emotional needs?

I genuinely want honest advice because I know my family isn’t innocent in this situation, but I don’t think that means my feelings should be dismissed either.

I feel like it’s not your job to put into other people more than putting into yourself and your baby. I would be careful because it seems like there’s an element of control looking from the outside. And you must take your own power back for you and your daughter. My best advice would be to create boundaries for your boyfriend and your mother. If you have your own vehicle or your own money that helps to be more independent. No one can tell you what to do with the child that came out of your body if they try to, that is a major no. Our babies depend on us for their peace, their joy and love. Put yourself first because it sounds like nobody else is sis. Do you want your baby to know her other side? then you can!

You're absolutely not wrong for feeling this way. And this sounds very abusive not just from your bf but from his entire family.

Idk how much money your mum stole but that doesn't mean you should be treated this way. And definitely doesn't mean you have to cut off your entire family.
It really feels they are trying to isolate you, is what abusers do.

If you can seek support and leave with your daughter.

This is your life and this is your baby but just create boundaries if anybody starts acting crazy then you know to leave and you know that you’re going to let them know you’re standing on business about your baby! Period! If you believe any environment (at any time) is trying to make you uncomfortable when life makes us uncomfortable enough… girl go. Do you boo!

All I’ve read is red flags from top to bottom. I would have been left cause all they doing is trying to control and gas light you. I wouldn’t let no man yet alone his family keep me from mine. I wouldn’t give a damn how he feels about it either. Was he putting your feelings into consideration when he was cheating on you?? As for the situation with your mom she a grown ass woman who made her own decisions on how she went with the money he gave her. Her actions are not your fault and you shouldn’t be blamed for them or have that taken out on you.

Get out! Take your daughter and go! Nothing about any of this is ok.

Your boyfriend should be standing up for you and your child, including you in things rather than making you feel isolated. Your Mom made a shitty choice but that's not your fault, nor is it your child's. Why is she being punished for an adults choice? I agree with the other comments, a lot of red flags here.

I put up with cheating in my pregnancy too. But keeping you from your family is whole different level of coercion and control. It’s abuse. Leave him.

Anyone?

I’m looking for a friend who understands Mom life in life with a kid. I realized a couple weeks ago that I don’t have anyone other than my fiancé. And I want a friend or friends that I can become super close to and possibly even my best friend. I’m getting married next year and the lady who’s my maid of honor doesn’t even consider me her best friend.. I’m open to FaceTime me and getting coffee together and meeting up and having play dates. Someone to cry with, laugh with, watch funny and scary movies with, and have inside jokes with. (Picture so post doesn’t get lost)

Contraception

Just after some advice on contraception…

I’m 35 and never used any form of it. Due to PCOS, I was always told I would need intervention to get pregnant, I did a year on Mounjaro and this helped bring back my periods and eventually ended up pregnant, which was a massive blessing for us. But wasn’t planned as such. We just didn’t do anything to prevent it.

Once LO one was born, I remember one of the first conversations thrown down your neck at the hospital was contraception and because I’ve never looked into any of it I said I wasn’t interested.

It was then brought u at my PP check up the other day, and again, I said i hadn’t thought about it.

There’s so may different options and in just after a bit of advice of which route to go down (I’m starting mounjaro again, so don’t want 2 under 2) x
