Hi guys! Ive been suffering with really bad sickness even now at 17 weeks. Has anyone tried cyclizine for sickness and were the side effects bad? On the leaflet it does say not suitable for pregnant women but my dr has prescribed this to me

Hey babe i had to go into a different sickness med bcs cyclizine wasn’t working. Mine is called metoclopramide and it works bit better but i still get sick after and have food aversion

Hey, I started off with cyclizine and then eventually moved to metoclopramide when I was pregnant. The cyclizine for me did take the edge off but it made me super dosy, I was so tired from it. The metoclopramide also took the edge off only - I was still sick but not as nauseous and it didn’t make me as tired as the first one.

Hi doll, I had cyclizine prescribed at 9 weeks. Despite others saying it didn’t work, it kind of did for me. However, it did add to my dizziness and as Lauren said it also made me sooo sleepy. Hope you find the right solution for you 💛

Took cyclizine for both pregnancies throughout and no issues 😊 x

I was prescribed this at 13 weeks as sickness wasn’t easing up. Helped stopped me physically being sick, but didn’t help the nauseous feeling

I took it too but didn't work for me. I ended up on ondansetron as it turned out I had hyperemesis gravidarum. If youre in the UK I recommend contacting the pregnancy sickness charity. Most medicines will say not suitable during pregnancy as they can't be tested on pregnant women. You can also check out the BUMPS website - Best Use of Medicines in Pregnancy for any concerns about medication x

I tried 3 different medications but none of them worked for me unfortunately x

Ask for xonvea, it is much better in my experience x

I took it in my pregnancy, my doctor explained that the leaflet will say not suitable for pregnancy due to them not being able to ethically test on pregnant women however they prescribe it all the time. I personally found it helped me stop being sick but I still felt so nauseous on it. I only used it when felt like I needed to as would rather be sick than keep feeling nauseous without being sick.

Ask for Xonvea, it’s one of two tablets in the evening and that’s it, no topping up every 8 hours. Plus it’s the only one approved for long term use in pregnancy. I’ve tried four different anti sickness honestly it’s been the best with minimal side effects

I had them for 2 of my last pregnancy ( didn’t notice any side effect) - unfortunately they didn’t work and doctor prescribed me xonvea- if you are really really bad you can go to hospital maternity unit for liquids ( that’s helps a lot if your HG continues) but take 4-5 hours in hospital
My november baby came on 29th September via csection due to placenta issues.
She was born at 10:36am weighing 6lbs3oz and she is absolutely perfect 🥹🩷

When did everyone start packing their hospital bag? Second time mum nearly 31 weeks pregnant and feel I’ve left everything so last minute this time round 🥴

Anyone else been diagnosed? I had my glucose test and got the dreaded phone call today to say it came back abnormal. I wasn’t expecting it at all😑

Has anyone else had any growth scans and been told their baby is measuring large? I am 32.4 weeks and baby 85th percentile but the head and abdomen were measuring in the 90s...

I’ve been having mild tightenings on and off since last night, and have been losing my mucus plug/bloody show all day.
This is my second baby, and I am SO EXCITED to meet him!
