Swaddle or sleeping sack

I'm really struggling to decide whether to swaddle my babygirl or to use sleeping sacks. I'm 26 weeks so have plenty of time but want to be prepared

I love a swaddle my baby boy is 2 months and sleeps hard in a swaddle loves his arms tucked

It depends on how big your little one ends up and what you feel comfortable with - my first was 6lbs 2 so he was too small for the sleep sacks, we just had to use cellular blankets. My baby due any day now is suspected to be bigger so we’ve got a 0-3 month swaddle sack that she can either have her arms in or out of :) x

I used the love to dream swaddles with my first then transitioned out when she started rolling and started using long sleeve sleeping bags as it was winter by then. Well be using love to dream swaddles again with this baby so fingers crossed he likes them as much as my first did 🤞🏼xx

Swaddling is great when they’re brand new, mimics womb feeling and helps them not startle. Once she was about a month old I started alternating between swaddle and sleep sack and now at 2.5 months she uses sleep sack every night

We used sleep sacks which have poppers at the arm holes, so he was essentially swaddled the first couple of months and then when he started showing signs he might roll we unpoppered the arm holes. These (though we got them hand me down) https://www.tommeetippee.com/en-gb/collections/sleepwear/products/the-original-grobag-sky-grey-marl-swaddlebag

Stool

My baby boy is 4 months old almost 5 and is formula fed. He has been pooping green for months now and my nurse practitioner didn’t have anything to say about it.. is this normal? He doesn’t complain and is a healthy boy!

Not sure where to share

I'm for sure proud, but I don't know where or how to post this, because I never want someone to feel anything less than wonderful in regards to their child(ren).

So.. my son learned his numbers 0-12 over a couple months when he was 1 and a half, because he's ALWAYS wanting to learn about everything. He knows all of his colors, numbers up to 25, can recognize and name emotions in books and people, and knows/recognizes 15 of the letters in the alphabet. He just turned 2 and a half a few days ago.

A couple weeks ago, we're drawing, having fun, and he goes, "Eight!" And happily points to the board where he was drawing (you can see some scribbles here, too lol). I look, and see he drew the number 8. Intentionally.

Now, his dad is in MENSA, but I really am shocked, because he "shouldn't be able to do this yet". 😂

Anyone else with a child like this? I want to ensure I continue to challenge him, and have joked about making weekly lesson plans for him. I have stayed at home with him since birth.

Thanks!!

For mums who have been through this before, what did you do with your little one’s bedtime & morning wake up routine / timings when the clocks go back in October? I’ve got a 5 month old and looking for advice on how should I mange the change with her.

Baby clothes washing 🫧

Hi mummas!

FTM here. What laundry detergent should I use? Can I buy own brand (Aldi) or is it better to go with branded (fairy)?

Do you use fabric conditioner, or just laundry detergent?

Thank you!

Sleeping in Swing

The only way my husband can get our 5 day old baby boy to sleep is to have him in arms being rocked or in this swing. He says he and his ex let my SD sleep in her swing for months because she needed the incline for reflux.

Google says baby should not be in the swing for more than an hour a day. But Google also says no cosleeping and I feel like swing or cosleeping might be the only ways to ever sleep.

My husband is wonderful and is taking 8pm-2am and we're barely home and already exhausted. Is this OK?

Jabs question??

LO had their jabs at 9.30am this morning. She has literally not been awake AT all since and its now 2pm. Only for a quick bottle 2hrs ago but her eyes didnt even open
I'm worried she will NEVER sleep at all tonight should she sleep all day
Ive tried to put her down and she does a really horrid cry as soon as she leaves my arms, which is not like her
Is this normal? Sleep all day? Did your babies do this and still sleep at night or not? Just wondering if to prepare to be awake all niggt!
